Hello all,
I have a flat tyre which I tried to fix roadside but ultimately had to take it home as I was missing the multitool.
I had disconnected these bits roadside and now they won't go back together.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks

Put shifter in lowest (?) gear, then thread together. If lowest doesn’t work, do highest, as I don’t have my bike to reference now.
Look up a video on adjusting Brompton hub gear to understand how tight it needs to be before you tighten the lock ring.
It’s not as simple as screwing them together for the internal gear hub gears to work. I usually follow [this video](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X6RpE0u9FnA).
You may have screwed the chain into the hub too far, back it off one rotation and it should easily screw into the tension adjusters remember to reset your gears then too.

Let the tension off of the gear lever, gear 3 position, make sure the rod is screwed into thee hub, then screw the barrel adjuster onto the thread, put the gear lever in gear 2 position, tighten the barrel adjuster until you see the shoulder of the rod at the axle end, tighten the knurled lock nut up against the barrel adjuster.
Worst design ever and shame on Brompton for using this antiquated system
