First ride of the year- after a night of snow. Love riding on frozen ground after the mud season, especially with some snow to take the edge off all the ruts. Mostly double track, but hit quite a few km of single track with some pretty deep snow- genuinely got me thinking about a fat bike.
I've never bothered with winter tyres/studs and no one around me uses them, maybe commuters perhaps, do people bother with the switch over for riding in the frozen ground/ice/light snow etc?
60km ride with minimal elevation was honestly pretty brutal after the festive diet.
