Have you tried lightly Tightening the Allen bolt there?

I recently changed my lower pulley after 14000km because if torqued to spec it wouldn’t spin anymore.
Is yours correctly torqued to 3nm?
A little play is normal, but that much isn’t normal.
Although usually you don’t need to change them after 2600km, irrespective of drivetrain.

3 nm or 27 in lbs I believe on that bolt. Check me though before you tighten it

Is this still on the showroom floor, looks like you can eat off that chain. Go ride that poor thing first!

A lot of idler pulleys just have bushings, which is fine since they take almost no load.

You know you can tighten the jockey wheel with an Allen key right?

The older gen AXS used to destroy the bearings after 1600Km or so. The bearings for them are cheaper than a new pair of wheels if the teeth are in great condition.
