I am just getting into bikes, new to this sub also, I thought I would buy this Trek Marlin 7 Gen 3 from someone for €125. The seat is a nightmare but I can deal with it. The person said the bike has no problems. What do you think? Good deal or not? Thank you.

I’d walk away. At best I would pay 50 bucks US on this, but the front rotor is backwards, which is all sorts of red flags about poor maintenance.

I mean it’s pretty battered, but if rides okay it might be worth it, but it will probably need some work.
In that condition I would offer €70 and if they say no go no higher than €90… I suspect if you walked away at €90 they’d accept it.
