Hi all!
I’ve been making a lot of progress on an XL Endurace over the last year, pushing my FTP to 3.8W/kg and I’m now eyeballing something more race and speed oriented. I love the looks of the Aeroad.
I’ve always felt a bit stretched on the Endurace. However, it has a 20mm setback seatpost and I always felt my saddle was a bit too much back. With my 6’3 (190cm) length and 36.5” (93cm) measured at a Canyon Service Center the size calculator puts me in between an L and XL, so I test rode both.
The XL (brown in pictures) felt a little large, but I did not feel that stretched as on the Endurace. Possibly due to the increased drop? But certainly around the limit with regards to reach. The L (white) felt very good reach wise, but the drop is pretty extreme even with all the spacers there. Getting into the drops was not comfortable. In the end, both would work. I added the pictures to have some visual of the drop.
I’m also looking at doing triatlons, so I’d like to install the Gear Groove Aero extension in the future, but I’m not sure if this would be comfortable with the drop on the L, even using the highest position.
Would be happy to hear some input/recommendations/stories that could help me make the final decision?
TL;DR: I’m 6’3 (190cm) with 36.5” inseam. L or XL Aeroad?

It appears you are looking for bike fitting help. Please make sure you post as screenshot of the Canyon size chart for your bike, with your point in it. See [this example](https://imgur.com/a/ALUfXyy)

I also went to the Canyon Service Center and I am 189CM with 92CM. They advised me to go for XL. After testing both bikes I felt that the XL was a better fit (also compared to my previous bike). An L would also work, but would put me in a much more aggressive position.
Same here I’m 192 with 92 inseam. Also was on border but bought the xl edition.
More then happy with my decision to buy the xl instead of L.
A bit more aero seating position in comparison with previous Cannondale bike with 58, but that was more towards endurance seating position.
I’m 191cm tall and have 92,5 cm inseam, chose L. I have over 3 cm space on the seat post. And aggressive position on aerodrops with no spacers under the stem.
