Henna Palosaari and Karen Ekman set out last May to explore whether there’s such a thing as a “perfect” place for a splitboard trip by bike — one that maximizes riding while staying fully human-powered.

10 days. 7 mountains. 300 km. 10,500 m ↑

Biking deep into high valleys, camping beneath the lines to be ridden, and chasing late-spring powder and firn, Ride to Ride documents their ten-day, self-supported journey through the Sunnmøre Alps on Norway’s west coast.

  1. A great adventure, beautiful views, and to top it all off, it's truly demanding. Few people realize how exhausting it is to ride a bike and then sleep in a tent. Add to that the all-day climb to the ridge and then the descent, and repeat it every day! Congratulations to the entire team 😀🤟

  2. That kind of dedication, strength, and love for the mountains is next level. Wishing you many more epic adventures, safe lines and endless stoke. Keep pushing, keep exploring, and keep sending it!

  3. OMG, thanks for sharing this, i never expect to see a deeper side of norway, because i live a million miles away from you guys, i wish can feel this experience someday, shout out from indonesia!

  4. Super video! Really makes me exited for Norwegain spring skiing. Slogen is still high on my list of placesI want to ski. What mountain did you go up after Slogen?

  5. I’m 21 minutes in, and I just want to express how deeply touched I am by this video. It’s not just another “look good, feel good” piece — there’s something genuinely profound to learn from this adventure.

Many videos start with “I love adventure,” but your video truly embodies that. The moment where you flipped on the mountain had me holding my breath. I honestly thought that was the end of the journey, but you didn’t stop there — you went back up and did even better.

I found myself reflecting that, if it were me, I would have counted myself lucky and headed back down.

This is definitely one of the best bikepacking / adventure video I’ve seen in 2025.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
