Episode 13 takes a tougher turn on the Paws and Pedal UK coastline journey.

I leave Inverbervie feeling optimistic, visiting the stunning Dunnottar Castle near Stonehaven before things go downhill — starting with the most disappointing breakfast yet: a dry, overcooked lorne sausage at Dunnottar Castle that could double as a trike tyre. 😅

But the real frustration comes in Aberdeen, where every bike mechanic I contact refuses to work on the trike. Knocking noises grow louder, and for the first time, support along the coastline dries up. Even social media delivers its first bit of abuse — a reminder that not every part of the journey is easy.

Still, we push on, find a last-minute host on the city outskirts, and end the day grateful that persistence still beats perfection.
