Merry Christmas everyone!

I’m in search of some insight on people who own Maap & PNS clothes. I’ve bought a few things on sale & plan to buy more but there are no exchanges or returns so I want to make sure I’m making the right decision on sizing.

For context, I am about 174cm / close to 5’9” & weight is usually between 72-74kg / 158-163lbs.

I’ve attached a few photos on gear I have right now from both brands. I feel good with Bibs in a medium so don’t think I’ll be changing that.

First photo – PNS Essential LS Jersey in a size small. This one doesn’t feel too tight, only thing concerning is the length of the torso is quite short. I think when I’m in riding position I’ll be fine but don’t want it lifting up & air hitting my obliques. Is the length normal?

Second photo – Maap blur pro air jersey in medium & blur team bibs in medium. This is where I feel like I could size down in the jersey. It may look fine in the photo but it does bunch up quite a bit when in a riding position. Arm length are also long.

Third photo – Maap aether pro LS jersey in medium & maap pro bib in medium. Same this as the other jersey. Arm length is long & the jersey bunches up a lot when in a riding position.

I guess my main question is – I’m sure the length on the small will be perfect for me but will it be too snug around the torso?

  1. These tops are really long on you. Sure it’s ok bolt upright but you’re going to get a lot of bunching if it’s endings your true waist.

  2. You should probably go a size smaller in the Maap jerseys. Arms are hella long and it looks like you’re not suffocating in the chest area. All Pas jerseys will feel cropped compared to Maap as Maap generally is longer in the arms and torso. I prefer the Pas length, even though I’m taller. It also helps avoid saggy pockets after the first ride/wash.

For context, I’m 6’4” and around 185lbs. For Maap, I wear large bibs and medium jerseys, all race cut. For Pas, I generally wear race cut (mechanism, solitude, mech pro), and wear large bibs and medium jerseys. The essential line is more forgiving in the fabric vs their race cuts, so I size down to get a similar fit.
