this bike’s done some miles before it ever met me. from what i know, it’s lived in san francisco and honolulu. it originally came with zipp sew-up carbon wheels, but i’ve gravel-tired everything i own, so that era didn’t last long.
it’s still running the original shimano 600 crank and derailleur. i swapped in a friction shifter and threw on a set of renthal fat bars off a friend’s dirt bike because why not. up front there’s a bianchi steel fork that clears a 700×33 vittoria terreno, and out back it’s a 700×28 continental r5000.
it’s simple, weird, and fast as hell. fastest bike in the fleet. cannondale used to make really good things, and this one proves it.
