Bright jerseys on long rides — love them or hate them?
Did a coastal ride today and went with a high-visibility jersey.I like the safety aspect, but I know some riders prefer darker or more muted colors. What’s your take — visibility vs. style?#cycling# Rode Bike#biking#
If anything it increases your visibility and drivers reaction time even if by a split second it increases your safety

I’d rather look a little goofy (my bright jersey and jackets are way less stylish than yours!) than risk being hit by a car! I mean, looking good is part of the pleasure as well but I keep that for the least dangerous routes and good weather conditions 😊

long or short ride – if a car hits you in the first kilometer it does not really matter

Minus the white shoes, everything else you were wearing and the bike are all darker colors. The highlighter jersey is a smart choice. Light colored jerseys would be a smart choice overall to increase your visibility.
