Christmas in Antibes feels different. In this video, we spend a full festive day in Antibes, France — exploring the Christmas market right by the harbor, cozy old-town streets, sunny lunch terraces, local shops, culture, and sweet treats along the way. From the Ferris wheel next to Europe’s largest yachting ports to a relaxed evening by the boats, this is Antibes at Christmas, exactly as it feels.
As locals who’ve lived on the Côte d’Azur for over 20 years, we share what to do in Antibes in winter, where to go during the Christmas season, and why this town is such a great alternative to Nice in December.

[music] Christmas in on feels a little different. Sparkling lights, winter treats, and a fairies wheel, but all set right against the harbor. Today we’re taking you through a full festive day in Ontaring [music] different markets, wandering cozy Oldtown streets, enjoying an alresco lunch in the December sun, adding a touch of culture, and making a few sweet [music] stops along the way. Hey everyone. So, how come we’re on a ferris wheel again? Do Christmas markets on the Riviera always come with one? Nice, Monaco, [music] and K sure do. Well, this time we’re in on team and here the real star of [music] the show is definitely the harbor. It’s one of Europe’s largest marinas packed with yachts [music] and super yachts with a port right behind us and the festive chalet down below. The iconic old town [music] with its massive ramparts is just on the other side of the main Christmas market. You’ll get to explore its pretty lanes and shop windows a little later. Don’t worry. on team is one of the must-sea stops on the Gazour [music] right between Nice and K. It’s easy to reach by train or about a 35minut [music] drive from Nice without traffic. So that’s three full rounds through the sky [music] and a ferris wheel that’s actually here all year round by the way. And yes, it even comes with a VIP gondula. Anyway, it’s high time to check out the Christmas market. It’s just after 11 on a random Wednesday [music] in December, and the chalet are slowly getting ready for the day, prepping lunch and getting the drinks lined up. [bell and music] [music] There are also quite a few stalls with gift ideas, handcrafted wooden knickknacks, Christmas decorations, [music] jewelry, and candy in every possible shape and color. [music] You can even shop clothes from a local brand. But like at many [music] Christmas markets around here, most of the chalets are all about food and drinks, which is a bit [music] of a shame we think, but apparently that’s what works best. And then right around noon, everything [music] changes. The market suddenly fills up as people flock in for lunch in [music] the winter sun. And honestly, we totally get the appeal. You’ll find all [music] the classic comfort food that fits the season and instantly makes your mouth water. At this point, Anna and I are getting pretty hungry ourselves, but we’ve got a specific restaurant in mind to show you. And since we’re both still missing a few Christmas presents, we get slightly distracted on the way by a couple of small boutiques. Like this one with the wildest mix of things, candles and [music] hilarious shapes, colorful socks, and table wear that’s definitely a matter of taste. Oh, and look what Anna just pulled out. She ends up buying it for me, not for [music] Christmas, but hey, my birthday’s coming up, too. And then there’s all these small clothing boutiques all over on Tib. Nothing to do with Christmas really, but [music] you know, girls. [music] >> Quick side note, since we’re talking about Christmas gifts anyway, if you’re looking for something [music] really useful for a trip to the French Riviera for yourself or for someone you love, we’ve got you [music] covered. We’ve just released our brand new digital travel guide with the 50 absolute musties on the French Riviera. From the big [music] cities to the most charming villages, plus restaurants, beaches, and those unforgettable little adventures we’re always chasing. Everything comes with clickable [music] links straight to Google Maps or directly to the exact video while we show the spot on our channel. So instead [music] of taking notes while watching our films, you can simply grab the guide and keep all our insider tips [music] in one super handy, fully multimedia place. All right, back to being the port city that it is, is home to a very international crowd that gives the old town a very global vibe. You’ll hear English almost everywhere, even now in the quieter season. And if you’ve been hearing our stomachs growl, yep, [music] it’s finally time for lunch. The midday sun is warming things up beautifully [music] and since we’re very much in terrace mode today, we’re heading straight to Ferni right on plast resistance. Perfect spot, perfect light. First things first, coats off and let the sunshine do its thing. But wait, before we relax [music] too much, there’s the menu. Very serves modern Mediterranean cuisine prepared with [music] fresh local seasonal products with familiar favorites like sea bass ceiche or Italian bara to start and mains such as beef tatar or rzotto with scallops and king prawns. Anna [music] goes for the sea bass with crispy mashed butternut and sauteed spinach. While I choose the smoked tuna [music] with spicy mayonnaise and raspberry pearls. That already sounds promising. While we’re waiting for our food and drinks, come inside with us for a second because Fi is actually really beautiful indoors as well. And yes, even the bathrooms are worth a look. Back outside, [music] our drinks have arrived. And honestly, what’s better than a good drink with the view? And then here comes the food. Wow, even if we weren’t hungry, this would look amazing, right? Anya [music] sea bass. My tuna taki. [music] [music] [music] Quick sip of water. And now let’s eat. After lunch, we head back into the old town for a little stroll, soaking up the festive atmosphere and [music] keeping an eye out for nice shops. One little street that’s always worth a detour is R. James Clothes, tucked away between [music] the restaurant and national. If you’re looking for a small, maybe typically French gift, [music] this is a great place to browse. >> [music] >> I’m not sure you have [music] [music] [music] A few [music] doors down, we stumble upon the cutest Christmas cards and other designs, too. All featuring places [music] in Ali we instantly recognized. By now, it’s just after 300 p.m. and the [music] light has taken on that warm golden tone we love so much down here. We’ve arrived at Pleas where at now you’ll find Christmas attractions for kids but also a small museum we’ve been [music] meaning to visit for a long time the museum pin. We hadn’t been inside before but Anna especially is [music] a big fan of Lizamuru the famous lovers illustrated by Raymon Pine [music] in humorous and romantic scenes of everyday life. Pine was born in Paris but lived in Ont for many years and donated numerous lithographs to the city [music] which are now displayed here. The back part of the museum is dedicated to [music] caricatururists. It’s actually a lot of fun to take your time and discover the deeper meaning behind some of the drawings. [music] Next, we walk towards Pleasure, hoping [music] for another part of the Christmas market. Once again, it’s mainly children’s attractions. Anyway, the museum has sparked an idea for Christmas gifts, [music] which leads us straight into bookstore around the corner. And once again, there’s adorable illustrated cards pop up perfectly capturing [music] different corners of here’s the real inspiration, [music] the French passion for comics or bed. It’s huge. [music] Of course, you’ll find classic comics everyone knows. But what’s really fascinating [music] is that even novels, history books, or non-fiction are often turned into graphic novels, including regional topics, too. Definitely something [music] to check out. How about The Great Gatsby as a comic? Right across from the bookstore is the reason we skipped dessert at lunch. We wanted to show [music] you and taste the patri of Leon Bonua. Everything here is beautifully festive right now. And honestly, it’s hard to resist. [music] Most of the little cakes are currently made as bush, the traditional French Christmas dessert shaped like a log. These [music] ones are tiny individual portions. Usually, you’ll find them much bigger. After a good 30 or 40 minutes of decision making, Anna [music] finally also chooses one. And instead of eating it right away, will decide to find a quiet spot outside to really enjoy it. So, [music] back towards the harbor, [laughter] where someone [music] else seems hungry, too. We settle on the cave with fauv glowing the background [music] and boats all around us [music] And yes, the little cakes are absolutely [music] incredible. Speaking of the harbor, we came back partly to see whether the yacht owners had decorated their boats for Christmas. Turns [music] out, not really. But if you look closely, you’ll still spot a few festive touches here and there. [music] And before we wrap up, we take one last look at the Christmas market now in the evening light. And honestly, really nice vibe. Lively, but not overcrowded. [music] If you enjoyed spending this festive day with us in Alib, make sure to give this video a like. It really helps our channel. Subscribe for more slow travel, local tips, and seasonal vibes on the French Riviera. [music] And don’t forget to check out our digital travel guide if you want all our favorite spots in one easy place. Thanks so much for watching and we’ll see you in the next one. See them?

Hi,
Your video is very well-structured and professional.
I could see how much effort you put into making the content easy to follow.
I noticed one small optimization in your metadata that can help YouTube push your video to a wider audience.
If you want, I can guide you step by step—it’s simple and powerful.
Yet another lovely video . I wish I could be there . I loved the shot early in the video over the harbour where you could see snow on the peaks in the distance . The market and shopping look great too . Have a great Christmas .
Nice video ❤
I love the sheltered sandy beach there!
