Wanna get a new road bike for general fitness and group rides. Looking for a new one under cycle to work scheme! Have decided on a relatively racy geometry as I previously owned an aluminium TCR with 105 mechanical, and it served me quite well. Now I’m curious to know how different a carbon frame or electronic shifting feels.
Torn between getting a carbon frame with the new 7100 groupset. (Trek Emonda SL 5 105 7100, Merida Reacto 4000 105 7100) or electronic shifting (Trek Emonda ALR 6 105 Di2). Actually still considering a Scultura with carbon wheelset. Downside (?) is it’s equipped with the older 105 7000 11-speed.
