Scunthorpe United 5-0 Peterborough Sports – FA Trophy

Peterborough Sports visiting the Attis Arena/Glanford Park, for some FA Trophy action. Of course managed by Phil “Loves a tan” Brown.
So only 5 games to win to get to Wembley, make that 4 now as we run out 5-0winners.

I thought we made hard work of it in the first half.
Felt we were a yard of the pace at times. Sports having plenty of the play though not really doing anything with the ball to cause any issues for Mahady. Dec Howe opening the scoring to take us to Half time at 1-0.

Seconds half as you’d expect they came out all guns blazing trying to get back in to the game. It felt like they were going to score as well, with the amount of time they kept the ball. Think the DRE could see what was happening and started making some noise. The Scunthorpe players responding to the noise and Roberts scoring to make it 2-0. As the half went on Sports were tiring though still trying to play football. The introduction of Eze and Brogan brought more goals, Eze scoring 2 and had chances for another. One from when Dawson entered the fray and smacked the cross bar. Then at the death with Sports looking to get a consolation Brogan was on hand to put it in the far corner. For what in the end turned out to be a routine win. In to the draw we go for the next round. It’s now not regional anymore so we could end up down South somewhere.
