This was my first adult bike (besides a blurry series of beaters that were lost, stolen or wrecked during my college years). It’s a Japan made lugged steel Centurion Cavaletto. Came with bike boom drop bars and suicide shifters. About a year ago I put on some new 27×1 3/8 cyclocross tires, porteur style bars and city brake levers, put a friction bar shifter on for the rear cogs and removed the front derailleur. Now I usually stay on the big chainring and use it to commute to and from the train station. If I think there are gonna be hills on my path I reach down and shift the chainring with my bare hand 🤚 😉
