This fall, we came together for our unforgettable annual Staff Ride—this year in beautiful Croatia! Over 500 Trip Leaders and staff from across the globe spent a week biking, reconnecting and celebrating life together. From cycling across sun-drenched islands and rugged cliffs to jumping into the turquoise waters of the Adriatic, it was truly a magical experience.
A huge thank you to the wonderful people of Croatia for their warm hospitality and the incredible Staff Ride team who worked tirelessly to bring this event to life. We’re already counting down the days for Staff Ride 2025.
staff ride is our way and my way of thanking our entire team that makes back Ros click celebrating our community people that really care about what we do not just the community that’s here but all of the folks that came before to create this and just so much passion for what we do it is a 4 days of just pure unadulterated fun kind of a rolling party you would say here we are in staff ride 2024 in the beautiful country of Croatia with our friends from all over the world Back Road staff ride is the best company event on the planet I feel so honored to be here to be able to celebrate all of our field staff out there all of our office staff out there who help make magic happen all year long this is our 45th year and it’s a huge accomplishment we’ve grown so much we’ve evolved so much but at the same same time we’re still a family business we still haven’t lost that norstar of taking people on the best trips ever and we get to do it with the best people in the [Music] world this year we have 500 guests we’re going to bike 186 miles and over 177,000 ft and we’re going to have zero Flats we hope Croatia has been a perfect place to have staff ride the riding is so good you’re riding all along the coast the whole time this by far has the most clear tantalizing water that I’ve ever seen where I just want to jump in it anytime I see it perfect ribbons of road that wind through the olive Groves and give you these long views Croatia is a very special location for this year’s staff ride the food is Fun the culture is Fun the wine is good and everybody out here with the island culture can’t wait to have us [Music] [Applause] [Music] without a doubt my favorite part about working at back roads is the [Music] people my colleagues are the best thing ever you meet someone you’re like wow that person’s awesome and then you meet the next person you’re like oh my gosh they’re so cool everyone is so kind and supportive and fun to be around it’s just good energy all the time I feel really proud to work with this group of people the hardest working group of people the smartest people the most dynamic people I know it seems like they just find the coolest people from around the world everyone’s got their own story and then to be able to put something like this on for those kinds of [Music] people so many people just love to walk up to you and introduce themselves and say hey what do you do where are you from and no matter what you’re walking away with 20 more friends than you came here with make real connections understand I’m working with real people out there doing real things it’s amazing to work for a company that at the end of the season brings everyone together in one place to celebrate doing what we love most which is bringing everyone together Outdoors on bikes I am in awe of the folks at Backroads that make this event happen every year I don’t know how they do it planning staff ride is a lot like planning a back roads trip it really takes a village to do it and there’s a lot of people that I want to thank with that huge thank you to the people of croa for making this happen that’s a thank you so much from the heart [Music]
