3 quick steps to dial in your saddle fore/aft:
1. Find the right saddle height
2. Start with a level saddle
3. Listen to what you’re feeling! If you feel wait on your hands, gradually move your saddle aft and test along the way. If you find the bars far away or have a lot of saddle pressure, gradually move the saddle fore and test along the way.
Once you find your sweet spot, you’ll be very grateful to have taken the time to fine tune your saddle fore/aft.

Wouldn't fore/aft affect height though?
Sorry but not that simple…….each time that we adjust the saddle or seat post we create a compound effect!
a man wearing earrings….ha…sure sigh of a fool
This is backwards. Moving the saddle forward makes you more upright which puts more weight in the saddle.
The fore/aft position should initially start, sitting on the saddle, pedal at 3 o'clock, with a plum line through the knee down to the pedal axle. Fine tune from there.
thanks. i hope this help with my elbow pain
No clue what happened…
I’ve been riding this bike for years, no issue.
Only in the last 1-2 months I’ve been getting like concerning levels of soreness that take days to recover.
I’ve been messing with the alignment but nothing’s helping, but it’s hard to even know what to alter.
At some point I think I might’ve just gone too hard at a very high gear, maybe exacerbated by bad alignment (something I’ve never thought once about) and caused inflammation that’ll take a month or so to fix.
Came to the conclusion that bike fitting is an art, like pulling on a spiders web move one bit and all else changes, perhaps like building bike wheels more you do it better you can do it. Agree that on road bikes (as long as you have a bike the corrct size) the saddle height is the first starting point otherwise bit like trying to solve a rubic cube in the dark?
Great video 🎉thanks a lot
