🚴♂️ Gravel Ride: Périgord Noir – Montignac-Lascaux to Les Eyzies 🇫🇷
The Périgord Noir in the Dordogne is a dream destination for gravel riding, and this route connects some of the region’s finest white gravel roads between Montignac-Lascaux and Les Eyzies. I’ve visited this area on holiday before and remembered several standout gravel sections from earlier rides. This route links some of these memories into one scenic A-to-B adventure through the Vézère valley, and quiet countryside.
This is a one-way route, but it can easily be ridden in both directions or adapted into a loop depending on where you’re staying. At around 75 km, it’s a solid ride on its own, but the area offers plenty of options to extend or adjust it. If you do make changes, be sure to keep the Chemin des Pléniers in the route. It’s without doubt one of the most beautiful gravel stretches in the Périgord.
