Rode my Scott Speedster Gravel 40 today for about an hour. It was a really fun ride, but quite challenging for me to climb the slippy and muddy mountain with my Schwalbe G One Bite (700x40c). Just after the first few meters on a long downhill ride i got a flat tire. That sucked.
Now i thought: Maybe it’s time for tubeless. Since it is the third flat tire in about 150km. So i did my research (i never had tubeless tires) and found the G One Bite is TLR. Unfortunately my Syncros Race 24 Disc 28″ rims are not made for tubeless. Now what? Afer googling i could use tubeless tape and risk loosing my tire. A sacrifice i would consider because of the high rim prices.
But then i found an option of self-repair tubes. That is the way i wanna go for now. Maybe somebody has experience with such tubes?
