VRI says this ebike is 100% waterproof to test that out I took it to the car wash but before I washed it I wanted to get it dirty oh I’m going to hit the camera that is slippery there’s so much mud and pressure underneath the fender that this metal piece detached I think I can add a little bit more mud get it nice and good in there didn’t think that one through got to sit on there I think that’s dirty enough so I’m going to take it to the car wash clean it up and see if it still works might have to wash my truck as well here we go that is cake on there here’s the battery there’s a charge port controller box LCD screen going hard along the hand Le bars this is a lot easier cleaning it than a bucket and a washcloth getting pretty close final rinse all right we’re done and there we go that sounds exactly how it did when I first took it out of the box

  1. Water proof usually classification, based on real life examples. Like ipx 1 is just against water drops, ipx 4 against sprays of water (until a certain pressure), 7 beeing full submersion and so on. On top of that certain mechanical part like bearing's are also engineered for a certain amount of beating. To come to the actual thing: NONE OF THEM ARE MEANT TO BE PRESSURE WASHED, ESPECIALLY THAT CLOSE UP, THATS A LOT OF PRESSURE. Once it worked, over a span of time your bearings gonna die earlier, plastics will brittle, steel parts in some cracks and crevices will rust, your chain is going to be a gonner before you reach 1000km. Don't do this. What a donkey video.

  2. Not waterproof I was riding in rain after a while it messed up the sensor and would take off without me turning the throttle. Lectric replaced it while it still had warranty but if it happens again now I’m screwed cause warranty expired

  3. I appreciate this demonstration and test. I don’t feel like I need to do this. Nor does he say I should. Thanks for making and sharing this demo. I’m looking into getting my first e-bike soon!

  4. I have a fat bike e-bike 750 watt rear hub drive, i do light down hill, trails, and road, i clean mine with a garden hose carefully, i blow it off with leaf blower, and then a good wipe down after every ride looks great after every ride.

  5. Man, I use my e-bike to get to and from work, I am anxious everyday that this will break down and homeless I am. I can walk the 2 hours there and 2 hours back for only so long. My 1000 dollar e-bike is already so hard to maintain with its design and hard to maintain parts I’d love to be able to just do this
