I have taken this year to prioritise cycle touring. I previously cycled UK to North cape. My next leg will begin in late January but I’m still unsure where exactly to go. My rough idea at the moment is to start in Singapore and ride north through Malaysia and Thailand, loop a bit towards the coast in SE Asia and Vietnam and then through China towards South Korea and Japan. I have about 4 months to do this. (Very rough route included!)
A few questions:
Temperature – how hot can I expect it to be? Has anyone else cycled at this time of year? Can I take more inland routes perhaps in China to avoid hotter parts?
Accommodation: How much can I expect to pay for hotels? How easy is wild camping or campsites to find?
Winds: Am I going to have headwinds mainly?
++ any other tips at all?!!
