George Street in Scunthorpe literally turned into a full-on crime drama this morning. Police from the Kinetic team smashed their way into a property at dawn and uncovered what looked like a full-scale cannabis farm — reportedly around 100 plants packed inside. Neighbours were out watching as officers raided the place and arrested a 20-year-old man on suspicion of cultivating a Class B drug. He’s now in custody while the investigation ramps up. Police are warning they’re actively hunting down drug operations like this and urging locals to speak up — 101 for info, 999 in emergencies, or Crimestoppers if you want to stay anonymous.

So, I woke up this morning to the weirdest noise coming from down the street like someone was reenacting a WWE match with my front door. Turns out it wasn’t The Rock. It was the actual police kinetic team absolutely blasting through a house on George Street in Skunthorp. Next thing I know, there’s like eight officers flooding the place and suddenly the entire street smells like the world’s skunkiest Yankee candle. Word starts trickling around that they found around 100 cannabis plants inside. Not like a few plants in the wardrobe type situation, more like Charlie and the weed factory. They drag out this 20-year-old dude who looks both half asleep and extremely annoyed that his growup got nerfed before breakfast. Cuffed on the spot for cultivating a class B drug. Straight into the van. No comments. No, this is a misunderstanding. Nothing. Man knew the game was over. Cops are still there as him typing this full CSI energy, rumaging through the place. Apparently, he’s still in custody and they’re continuing inquiries. Police ended the whole thing basically like Pel, stop doing crime. Talk to us if you see crime. 101 if it’s chill, 999 if it’s not chill, or grass anonymously to Crimestoppers at 08005511. George Street finally got more action than the local nightife.
