I found this poor thing destroyed, dumped below a bridge less than a year ago as the title suggests, it needed lots of fixing but ended up fully functional within no time!

Only recently I decided it was time to (try and) get it back into its original glory, which is what I did!
Other than the brand new yet original style and model pedals, every replacement part was either sourced from thrift stores or other bicycles that I've fished out of the local canals.

Not everything is 100% as it would've been originally as I merely make do with what I stumble upon locally, but I'm hoping to make it as original as possible as time goes on.

Parts that have been fixed or replaced:
The broken kickstand, the seat, all missing lights, the broken lock, both tire valves, a flat back tire, three spokes, a missing bell, a dent in the chain guard, the detached chain, I had to unbend the front mudguard, had to remove the pink spray paint that was covering all the logos and emblems and also got it a seat bag/pouch that I ended up hanging below the seat on the frame instead.

I've had about two dozen bicycles over the years, this one's officially my pride and joy.

It's a Batavus Favoriet for anyone curious, I'm from the Netherlands in case that wasn't obvious 😉
