New to fatbikes. Bought this Rocky Mountain on used market so it was a bit neglected(dirty). It had an extended steerer tube, or stem riser which someone pointed out in my first post about the bike that it was just another point of failure(TY!). I totally agreed and so I installed a new stem and 50mm riser bars. Feels awesome! And only 3/4 inch less height too. I also installed a new chain and properly cleaned the derailleur pulleys, cassette and crank and adjusted tire pressure. Added grease where needed. Nothing like a freshly lubed clean transmission am I right? So, tonight, after my lights were all charged up, I took it for a spin in the trails. I clamped on my Apex 900lumen light on the fork leg and had a Black Diamond spot r 400 lumen headlamp for super illumination. I had fun! Felt like a kid again. And now, despite winter setting in here, I have something to look forward to with planned rides in the national park nearby! Next install: Billy Flamingo’s studs. Hope they work as advertised lol. Cheers to all
