PLEASE NOTE: Tension does not condone climbing on damp, wet sandstone. Wet sandstone can lose up to 75% of its strength as it absorbs water, weakening the rock’s internal structure and making holds far more likely to break under bodyweight. While certain holds and features on granite can also be unsafe in wet conditions, the climbers and production team consulted with local experts before attempting Burden of Dreams to confirm the stability of the stone under the specific conditions at the time. We encourage all climbers to seek guidance from experienced locals whenever questions arise about rock and weather conditions, regardless of rock type.

DESCRIPTION: In this episode, we travel to Finland with Hamish McArthur and Noah Wheeler for the iconic “Burden of Dreams” (V17). Over the course of two weeks, nearly nonstop rain limited our chances to climb as much as we’d hoped. Still, we made the most of it—exploring Helsinki, playing pool, and training at the local gym, Project Konepaja. While neither Hamish nor Noah was able to send Burden this time, they’re already planning their return.

  1. Have to say… one of your best outddoorvids right now. Besites of your Spraywallseries and Boardlords I will watch this one here many times again… thanks for ❤🎉

  2. It's a small thing, but I am honestly very happy to see no stacked pad shenanigans at the start.

I'm not at all convinced that it's been make-or-break for those who've done it, but considering that part of the difficulty is the sit start, stacked pads kind of nerf that and it's always nicer to see people trying without them.
