Today we’re exploring Chelmsford. [Music] Today’s vlog is quite spontaneous, quite unplanned because I have no idea what’s here right now. I’m just in front of the High Chelma shopping center. And what the is this place called? The Chelmsford Market. And then there’s also some park here that goes to Central Park, like the one in Friends. Wow, friends. As I’m walking around the shopping center, it is quite quiet. That being said, it is half 9 on a Tuesday morning, so I don’t know what I was expecting. Some places are closed, but I think I will have to come back here later. I went to the marketplace just a little bit earlier. It’s quite reminiscent of the one in London. Not too much to see. A lot of the vintage stuff opens on Thursdays, so probably not the best day to come. There is also a Warhammer store here which unfortunately is closed only opens on Wednesday like the one in Watford which isn’t amazing for me but I am going to go check out the outside anyways. For now I’m going to go see what I can do here. A few moments later. Guess who’s in Primark again? Me. The only issue with being here in the shopping center is that I didn’t bring a bag, which isn’t great cuz I’m going to be holding one of them little Primark bags all around the place, especially from 10:00 in the morning till about 2:00 p.m. when I get to go back. But good thing is there’s a Turtle Bay here and a banana tree, which are two amazing spots. So, I might have to come back here later. Also, Turquoise Kitchen, authentic Turkish cuisine. Turkish food is bare nice. So, there’s a lot of nice food spots around here. Now, I’m walking around being a because I have no idea where I am or where I’m got kingpins. What the So, I’m walking down High Street. That’s actually the name of the road. It’s called High Street where there’s a couple shops here. There’s a TG. There’s a Toys R Us. I haven’t seen one of those in years. I’m not going to go to cuz I’m a grown adult. Um, there’s a Welles. There’s an H&M. There’s a Claire’s. There’s an E and BT. Um, I got a funny story. When I went in Italy, uh, earlier in the year, Lat Feb, I’m with E, BT, whatever. Whilst I was there, I had major internet issues. So, I had no data whilst I was in Italy. Once we crossed back from Italy to Austria, suddenly my internet starts working. So, EMBT for me wasn’t working in Italy even though it said it was work across Europe. So, west across Europe, just not in Italy, which isn’t ideal. So, for a week, I had no data after we left the hotel. I didn’t have data in the hotel anywhere. I just Wi-Fi. But it’s not Yeah, it’s a bit long, but I I made great friends that I do not talk to because they’re all youngers and I can’t be bothered. Okay, so a lot of the shops aren’t open yet and there’s not that many people. It’s a bit dead at the moment. It is almost 10:00. There is some nice rivers around here and that bridge just behind me. So, I’m going to fill the river and go to the park areas. Going on a bit of a rural walk for about an hour, maybe hour and a half. About 11, half 11. We’ll come back to here, look around, see if there’s anything decent. Check out that Walmart store. Although it is going to be closed today. Sometimes I say sometimes majority of the stores have that like display bits and I do want to see what this store’s display thing is. I feel it could be quite cool. I know the Milton Kings one was doing some renovations. I mean they were going to do a brand new one later this year. I don’t think I’m going to go back to MK this year. It fully depends on what happens. But I think next year I definitely want to check out the MK1 again. It’s part of my journey. I want to every city I go to I want to see all the Warhammer stores. Uh when I went he there was a store it was closed. Uh even whatever the last place that I went there on was closed. But yeah, we’re going to go to real walk and I’ll see you when we get close to the park. So I was walking along. Turns out there’s a dead end just where I was going. I have to go back to the other side. But this is called the river can. Like a can. So I’ve arrived at the central park. Wow friends. And um from my first impressions, this place is beautiful. There’s some nice water fountains over there, which looks amazing. I love the way the water is sprouting out. It looks so nice. Got some ducks, some some geese. We got a no fishing sign, which is standard. It’s a park to be fair. We got a big ass bridge over there. We got a small cafe area and the river can runs down hitting a nice bridge over that side. So, I’m going to start making my way around. Honestly, it was a beautiful walk. Took me about 5 6 minutes from the main town center. Pretty open space to walk through and for people to cycle through, which is quite nice. Starting to get a bit more windy and obviously it’s the autumn season getting a little bit colder. There’s leaves everywhere, but the greenery here is astonishing. I absolutely love this place. So, I’m now approaching the bridge. There was a train running over it. This is part of the railway system. And from the looks of it, it’s just more greenery. And I don’t I don’t know. This place is beautiful. Got some nice shrubbery coming off there. I think this is the car park, but that’s the back side of the cafe. Uh I was right. Yeah, there is some cars parked here. Uh oh, there’s an echo. Oh, that’s cool. That’s really cool. Oh my god. I’m actually such a little kid like at heart. I hear an echo. I’m like, “Wow.” Oh, wow. Wow. I’m just approaching this underpass and there was an underpass earlier that I I didn’t record, but the graffiti work here looks so nice. Like you got a little bird here. I I can’t lie. I don’t know what bird it is, but that looks beautiful. Then you got this. Is that a skunk or a badger? One of the two sitting here with this lovely background. You go through. You got a frog. You got a fish. You got a dog. Oh, there’s an echo again. You got that thing with that thing on its head. You got another fish. She got some lady. You got an owl. Oh You all right, mate? There’s another fish. There’s another dog. There’s that. This is sick. So, it’s about quart 11. I’m bare bored. There’s not really much else around this area. So, I’m going to go check out the Riverside Retail Park. Okay. So, I’m outside of the retail center. There’s a Matalan, a Mackey’s, Home Bargains, and Homesense. I think there’s someone else at the back. I cannot see. It is the food warehouse. That’s probably really cool. Um, I’m not going to go check that stuff out, though, cuz from the looks of it, there’s a nice little walk-in route that I’m going to take cuz I’m getting very bored here. I will not lie to you. Um, I’ve already seen the place I want to see. So, we’re just going to walk around for a bit and see what happens. I’ve somehow arrived to the Telma Valley local nature reserve. [Laughter] Okay, so I’ve been walking around this nature reserve and it turns out I’ve actually walked past the university. It’s just back there but like a little bit. It’s the I think it’s Angalia Anglia Rust University. From what I’ve seen, it looks decent on the outside. But I’m going to go and take a closer look. I may be a little bit slow, but this looks like to be the university. At least these big massive buildings here. I’ll be completely honest. I don’t know anything about the university. I did not know that there was university just here. I thought it was just the one in Colchester, like the Uni of Essics, wherever it is. But I think Well, it seems called Chelmer building. This is Yeah, this is definitely the uni. Okay, cool. So, there’s a university here, which I did not know. Apparently, one of my teachers from secondary school is brought around here, which is cool. I think I hope I don’t see that teacher today working. Anyway, but yeah, this is some massive ass building. Pretty cool. I was about to say that this spot I’m in now, it’s like quite open. Be a sick chamotic spot. But those birds are massive, bro. The fact there’s an opening. Just come up to you. N man, I can’t hack it. I hate birds, man. Big birds, small birds. I hate birds. All birds are terrifying, man. So, it’s about4 to 1 about to start heading back home. It’s been quite an enjoying enjoyable trip. You know, I can’t speak. So, it’s quart to 1 right now. This trip has actually been quite enjoyable. you know, walking around, exploring a new area. It’s my first time in Essics, to be fair. We’re under clock that now, but this was pretty fun.
