I just picked up a freshly powdercoated steel, lugless Eros frame. I love the way steel frames feel and knew that I wanted to take this the neo-retro route. My LBS will cold-set the stays to accept a 135mm wheel. I also bought a Campy 11 Speed Centaur groupset.
Though the headset is chrome, the rest of the hardware is black to go with the groupset including the 3T seatpost and 3T Mutant stem. The handlebars are aero carbon style which will provide a much more comfy position. The wheels are Mavic Cosmic alloys.
This brings me to the saddle. I was searching for a brown or black Selle Italia saddle. Whatever color I got the bar tape would be matching. Then I saw a yellow pop art Selle Italia saddle with a fist and a big "BAM!" Word bubble.
I thought a bright yellow seat and bar tape might provide a nice contrasting pop as well as controversy. I would love to hear everyone else's opinion however. Attached are photos of the seat and frame (not all decals are on), and two AI mockups.
