I just received my Maap Atmos jacket, and it’s an amazing jacket, I’m just worried that it might be too small.
For reference, I have a size small Evade Pro LS and Drome Pro Air LS.
The first one I bought a medium and a small, but I kept the small because it was good at the chest but too loose at the pockets in the medium. The small was just right, but pretty tight.
The latter fits even tighter in small, especially at the upper arm and shoulder, but if I finally have it in place, it feels like a super tight and raced jersey.
Just from the measurements alone, I should be a medium in the chest but more like a small in the waist for both jerseys and the jacket.
With the two long sleeve jerseys I have, it works in a small because they have stretch.
With the Atmos, however, it feels relatively restrictive in the chest, primarily in the chest/shoulder, especially while standing. Everything else feels fine.
If I’m on the bike, it feels much better but still somewhat snug due to the material that doesn't ’stretch.
I‘m 1,74m at 74kg, muscular build. Planning to lose another 3-4Kg over the winter, but they will primarily be lost on the waist.
What do you guys think? Am I good? Or should I get a medium, have it a little bit baggier, and have more room for layers.
In the pictures I just wear a base layer and the long sleeve Pro Air underneath.
