Late start as we had to sort out insurance issues related to the neighbor driving into our parked car at night. Drove up the escarpment to save time (and energy) and started in the hamlet of Ivory. Area is slightly undulating with corn, wheat and cows in stead of vineyards. Lovely well kept roads with little traffic.

Today we drove by car up the escarment east of Avoa and started cycling from the little hamlet of Ivory. As we drove up the escarment, not that much climbing today, just 660 m over 50 km in Magenta. and the rides that we did in this area and blew the ride today. Roads in this neck of the woods are very quiet and uh despite that wellmaintained. The river in this beautiful valley is called La Fil. And on the map we are just north of the little hamlet of Fontine. This is the intake for the watermill in the background. This bike is quite appropriately located on a weight bridge. Must be an enthusiastic bicycle builder in this village. The location of this uh village is uh not here. Here we’re looking out over the valley of the river Lon Superure. We followed the river till the hamlet of Lumi and there it was time for a little snack. Heat. Heat. Very quiet road. No wind, no trees. Time to get the drone out. Heat. Heat. Heat up
