30 municipalities in the capital region of Denmark have joined forces to create the cycle superhighways —— a regional network of cycling infrastructure, which allows long-distance commuters to commute by bicycle across municipal borders on cohesive and correlating routes. This project was one of the shortlisted cities for the 5th Guangzhou Award for its direct contribution to climate mitigation and urban development.
Since 2012, the #GuangzhouAward has attracted 1,600+ initiatives worldwide, becoming a global hub for city-to-city learning. The journey continues with the 7th Guangzhou Award. Cities worldwide are invited to share their innovative practices. Learn more at: https://www.guangzhouaward.org/p/the7th?lang=en
