there seems to be hundreds of videos about puppy biting, each with a slightly different approach.
my elderly dad uses a wheelchair and we’re trying to get our newly adopted rescue puppy to be gentle.
he can’t grab her collar or do any of the weird motions, i hope i can find a way for him to effectively stop her.
Good advice but settle is to long maybe calm or NO
Gooooood booooooooooy
Stop eating the snacks for the dog!!!
I have a question about rewarding good behavior with their food. My puppy is 8 weeks old and gets 1/3 cup of kibble a day. That is a very small amount. I'm training sit, stay, and down in the morning, and having some in pocket for recall, but I also need some for leash training, and some for her kong for down time, by that point all kibble has been used, am I not supposed to give breakfast lunch and dinner and only feed through rewards?
Settle with collar isn’t working great becaz i wanna do it often then so much nipping is happening god. I say no bite and stop the play immediately, obviously he stops and when I continue to play he would bite again.
I would rather not play such games with him . Forcusing on independent play instead. I allow him to play with toys, coconut she’ll, cloth etc and calm her teething.
Please help it’s sometimes irritating
I just tried this technique with my 15 week old Shichon, and it worked!!
Does not work for me I tried giving her other toys doesn’t work tried yelling doesn’t work 5 months old she bites the leash and me all day long I’m getting sick of it only time I like her is when she is sleeping!
I have a 10 week old Chihuahua and beagle mix and she bites from the time she gets out her cage to the time she’s put back in her cage. I have a large pit and I have another Chihuahua face mix and she tends to like the pit, but she nips and bites at the other Chihuahua. She seems very angry all the time. Please hurry up.
Not hurry up Help
Now try with a yorkie
What if he full blown attacks your hand growing
I give my dog a calming medicine when ever she is barking but she is having unusual behaviors do you know I can stop her biting she bit two people one with food aggression and the other one on the elbow what should I do about this so I don’t have to rehome her
is there any video where you teach settler?
You’re doing it wrong I don’t think you’re an actual trainer, bro who else agrees she’s just teaching the dog to jump up even though the dog is not nipping she’s teaching it’s OK to jump up on you when you’re sitting that’s not OK with my dogs their service dogs and my dogs were trained professionally this. this is wrong. Don’t ever teach your dogs this. Just start playtime when the dog starts jumping up, even if the dog is not nipping, and if the dog is nipping and the playtime overall this is completely wrong in this video.
This doesn't work on all puppies especially more dominant breeds
Do you just hold collar?
My nan has a 8 month old puppy and she bites a lot so I either get troy my German shepherd who's her father or I say no treat
The car in the back
So cute
How many times did you employ the collar grab before he learned what you meant by “settle”?
You should not be grabbing a puppy like that delete it now if i dont se that this is taken doen thid is being reported
What if when you grab their collar they get even more excited or frustrated and try to bite more?
I say ouch and she stops and no treat for it , she's 9 weeks old same breed as this one
FIONA
My puppy doesn't settle even when you grab her collar.
Now try a dog that's hard to train lol
My dog will not look away from the treats in my pocket
