[Music] the Big Bite revival is our flagship behavior change program that focuses on three key elements we’re fixing people’s bikes and getting them back out on the road we’re teaching people how to look after their own bikes and we’re helping people to cycle safely in their local community this year we reached over 40,000 people and we’re really proud of how our bbr centers around the country are enabling people to cycle and working with us as cycling UK to make cycling safe and fun for everybody [Music] the point of today is to get Big Bite revival centers from around the country together to talk about what went really well this year what challenges they faced and how we like the UK curls merely learn from the people who are running our program across the country to make it as effective and efficient in the best program it can be we’ve got bike revival centres today from Hastings all the way through to Cumbria not to give Manchester Birmingham really a great spread of showing us what the Big Bite revival is all about across the country and helping us to learn from them we want people to think about taking I’m shorter journeys on bikes and if we can get someone riding on the park on a bike recreationally then it’s all what I want the back to the shop why don’t I got my bikes to school why don’t I got my bike to work and then before you know it they’re taking the bags on holiday with them to scope around one of their we couldn’t do it without Big Bite revival the pressures of trying to find funding for different schemes would mean that something like big pirate avowal or the bike scheming the most important we couldn’t afford to run as an organization without the support it’s been a great opportunity to get people who normally don’t cycle and would like to have a taster have a go to come out and join us we do regular rides every week and we do get some new people but BBI has been a way to get additional people who would like to try a taster ride it just lays the foundation so we are you know working with young people trying to encourage their the parents to get to become more active and encourage the children survive live you know ditch the stabilizers and you know and then because of the time of the big by rival you know being 12 weeks in the early early summer ma you know it lays the foundations for a summer of cycle and keeps people more active and you know throughout the summer months we offer to fix people’s bikes for free we offer advice we try and show people how to maintain their own bikes show people how to check their bikes for safety and we sell bikes we’ve recycled and restored we give people advice on where they can ride who they can ride with it’s amazing it just gives a good you that boost that you do something for the community and you’re taking them out and they’re enjoying it it’s just wonderful feeling you
