Yes. So the road works we were told about pretty much happened as soon as we left Budra and we have been going along for what what I don’t know 3 km so far. 3 km but how long? Like 45 minutes or something ridiculous. It’s been going on for ages. We’ve only got about 20k to travel today. Oh, this terrain is not good. Oh my gosh. Wow. Are the days where the colors fade and the rain stay for So after that journey, Millie is filthy more than what she was before. We have arrived at our campsite which is near to that the other side of where Cotor is and it’s called Auto Camp Vice and it’s right on the fjord. This is like a massive fjord. Here we are on the road and we have parked Millie up next to the road. I’ll show you in a minute. Um, but cruise ships come in here. I’m so excited. It will absolutely make my day or the number of days we stay here. If a cruise ship comes past here, this is where we’ve parked Millie right in the front garden. That’s another campsite over there. Mark’s hooked up with the electric. And then there’s about five motor homes there at the back, but they’re quite close together. And they’re doing some building work. So, it’s either building work or road. We’ve gone with road. We might regret that, but we have got the view, so I’m going with that. And Mark’s going to get the mat out and the chairs on the table. Whoosh. Oh no. I just got super super super excited coming back from washing up our dishes and I dropped Mark’s mug. Broken it. Broken it. So I’m going to have to buy him a new Montenegro mug. But guess what? Look at that. Which one is it? We were literally coming back from washing up and said, “What a lovely setting that we’ve got.” And then we saw the cruise ship. We’re crossing over the road. Crossing over the road. There’s some seats down here. It’s a region. It’s not Costa. It’s region in October. I’m so excited. I’m so I just I knew this was the best campsite. This is Oh my goodness. That was too much excitement for one evening. Why? It just was. And to top it all off, the smoke alarm just went off for no reason. I don’t know what that was about. On fire. We haven’t done much since we got here, have we? But that was like the highlight of my day. Mark made me walk three miles earlier to go to the shops. He said it was only like a mile there. Going to run. I don’t want to run. I’m not making you that either, boy. So, we’re going to have a check in a minute and see if we can um see what ships might be coming in tomorrow morning cuz I can open my bedroom blind and I’ll be able to look out and see. You’re a cruise ship spot. Good morning you lovely people. Um this morning I’m feeling a little bit downbeat. Um, I have pulled a muscle in my calf whilst we were out doing our little run walk yesterday. Um, which is making me a little bit upset about things that we’ve got planned. But anyway, Mark said today we’re going to go out and do the bike ride that I’ve been planning for the last how many years did I say? Eight years. Eight years. So, I came to Cotor on a cruise with my daughter in 2017. Um, it was with Tui at the time and they do bike rides on board and me and her did a little bike ride and I just thought this would be lovely to do with Mark and cycle all the way around the bay. So, we’ve mapped it up and it’s about 27 miles. Think it’s 27 miles and we’re going to cycle. It’s just going to be the scenery is going to be stunning. I mean, I’ve just looked outside this morning. It looks like a gorgeous day. The church bells have been ringing. It It really is very lovely here. The The road noise is a bit annoying, but And they drive really fast, but let me show you outside. So, look what a beautiful beautiful day. And what stunning scenery is a shame about this road cuz it is very busy and they drive extremely fast. So, we are getting ready to head off on our cycle of the Bay of Cotor. It’s very exciting. Going to pass through lots of lovely villages. We’ll even get into the town of Cotor. Let’s go. We just had to pull over because Mark was getting wet and he said, “Is it raining?” But no, he’s got a puncture. and uh noisy cars. It might seal itself. It’s designed to it’s got tubless fluid in it so it stand stuff. So it should seal itself. Okay. Carry on then. Yeah. Carry on. It work its um its magic. But if they if it doesn’t work, I’m going to have to put a a tube in which is really annoying. So, you guys know that we love a cruise obviously and we’re getting very excited about the cruise ships coming past where we’re parked up and we’re heading to Cotor now, which is where the cruise ship Go. We’ve just been through Paras and obviously there’s an excursion and it was rammed and there’s actually two cruise ships in today. So I don’t know how we missed both of them this morning. Viking Mars came in. Viking Sea came in as well. I knew about Viking Mars. Oh, there’s two Viking ships. Two Vikings ships are in currently. So one is in Couttor um which is where me and my daughter um our ship went in. So we could just get off the ship and walk. But it looks like the other one is attended to port. So that’s where you have to get onto like a little boat to get into the port. We’ve just found the little cafe. Although it’s a hotel. This is where Cyro and I stopped when we did a little bike ride from the cruise ship few years ago. Few years ago now. Yeah. October 2017. This is where our cruise ship came into. Get off. Mar if we can get on. Let us get on the ship tour. I am a travel agent. I’ve got my agent credentials. So the the old town of Couture is behind that wall. And right up there is the fortress. I’m hoping that my calf is going to be okay so that another day we can walk up there. And M’s just pointed out a cable car as well. So, after our lovely bike ride today, Mark’s cooked us some tea and we bought these massive, massive burgers the other day from the supermarket down the road. All the supermarkets are shut, by the way, on a Sunday. And um we bought some of the bread like we had in Bosnia. And he’s put these massive burgers. Look at them. They’re huge. He’s put some onions in as well. Caveman meal. He’s just said cool. I’m going to cover it with ketup. We’re waiting for the cruise ship to go past. Not gone past yet. It was a very lovely cycle. I’m not even sure we told you how far it was. It was 27 30 miles cuz when we got back to the campsite, we carried on a bit to go to the supermarket to get some fresh bread and some milk, but all the main supermarkets were shut. Um, but we found a bakery, so we got some bread from the bakery. But tomorrow we will need to go and get milk and um a few other bits cuz we bought enough stuff for about three nights, didn’t we? Yeah. I think we’re going to stay here a bit longer than that because I’ve booked something very exciting for a couple of days time. Uh, and I’ve just been looking at where we’re going to go after here. Can’t decide yet. Right guys, there is an English wedding going on across the other side of the bay. We haven’t been invited. They didn’t invite us, which is very rude of them. But they’re playing Aba Dancing Queen. That’s just Yeah, got to dance. Might won’t dance with me. It’s rubbish. Um, yeah, they’ve been playing all sorts. The ships are coming. The ships are coming. The ships are coming. What? Both of them? Yeah, the ships are coming. That is MSC Lica. That one’s only been in for the afternoon, isn’t it? And now this is Viking Sea leaving. So I I just said to the owner of the campsite, I said, “We quite like cruises.” I said, “But you must get fed up with them.” He said, “It’s a bit like buses. When when Gone comes along, they all come along or something.” Is that what she said? It’s all like that. They just get used to it. No, no, no. The man, he said, you know, they’re just up and down all the time. Now, here’s a little update for you on our total spend for weeks one to eight. Morning folks. It’s day 57. First day of week nine of our epic adventure. Now I’m leaving Amanda in bed today and I’m going out for a solo ride up into the mountains around the Bay of Couture. Um really looking forward to it. Man is having a lion in watching the cruise ships and I’m just about to head out. Hi folks. Right, so I’ve cycled nearly 5 miles from the motor home and um I’m just about to start the climb. I’ve headed towards the uh uh to to VAT. I’ve come through to that out the other side to a place called Kovac uh near the airfield or the airport rather. And now I’m about to attempt the the climb. So we’re looking at 20 miles uphill to the top of the cable car. So I’ll just turn the camera around. Just heading up into the mountains now up to the cable car which is right up there. And I’ll take a few more video in a minute. Hi folks. So, like I said before, way in the distance up high, there’s a cable car. It goes right up to the top. I don’t know if you can see it, but that’s where I’m heading. I got to do 21 switchbacks. I think it’s about four nearly 5,000 ft of climbing. We’ll see come the end. I’m a bit nervous about it to be fair. I have not climbed like this for several years now. Uh so and I’m I’m really not fit. So we’ll see see how we go. I’m excited, but I’m nervous. I’m on the climb. This is the first hairpin corner. It’s 21 of these, but already we’re quite high. We’re nearly at 800 ft already at sea level. I’m only going for about seven miles. So, uh, it’s quite a way to go yet. So, here, look, you can see the cable cars, there’s nobody in them yet. It’s a bit early. It’s only 8:00 in the morning, but uh, already the view over the Bay of Couture is looking stunning. Absolutely stunning. And in the just in the distance there is the uh the airfield TAT airport. I thought it was bigger than that. There you go. So the cable cars have stopped momentarily, but they’ll be going again soon. So this is one of the hair pins. So I just can’t help myself. I’ve only done about four four switchbacks, but this is just stunning. Absolutely stunning, folks. Still long way to go yet. Just can’t help stopping to take video. It’s unbelievable. What a view. What a view. Amanda’s on about going right over the top of that one for a 10 mile walk cuz we’re parked up in the motor home in the other side of that rock in the middle, that mountain. And she’s on about us walking over the top of that. 9 and a half miles is. We’ll see. So, I’ve just had to pay €3 to get in the Lawson National Park to get up to the cable car. Still a way to go. Well, so I’m nearly 20 miles in to the ride. Getting up towards the cable car now. Beautiful view from up here. Nearly 4,000 ft of climbing since I left. Cable car is just about another mile up that up the rest of the mountain. This is the view. So, this is the uh the top of the mountain. Zakara cable car. And there’s lots of building going up here. Lots of things to do. You can hire push bikes, mountain bikes up here. You can go on quad bikes. You can go on a little adventure park there for the kids. I think there’s even pump rides for BMXing and mountain bike riding. There’s loads to do up here. I’m going to get a coffee. Nearly 21 miles, 4,000 ft of climbing. Ridiculous. Mark’s back. Mar’s back. He’s having a bit of a rant. Bet the bus drivers in in Couture Mo and Negro are That’s all right. Simple as that. Whoever taught me to drive needs to I don’t know have a brain implant or something. Honestly, they can’t drive for Language. Well, poo. They can’t drive. They shouldn’t be allowed to drive. All those old people, all cruise customers, they shouldn’t be allowed to drive. Darling, would you like me to make you a cup of coffee? Yes. It’s Croatian carbonara time. or apparently that’s what the translate said it was Croatian so he wouldn’t translate it. So I can see 300 mls of something that looks like milk and 100 mls of something looks like water. Um and the rest I’m just going to guess hopefully cook Mark something nice to eat. And all the cruise ships that came in this morning are leaving. So, Costa del Delesiosa has gone and uh I was going to say sky princess then cuz we’ve been on sky um is literally just poking her nose around the corner. Majestic princess, that’s what it is. She was the biggest one, weren’t she? She went in first this morning. Right here you are. Here’s your carbonara with chicken and proc. Beautiful. You might want to put lots of pepper on it cuz I know you. You know me. I do know you after nearly 21 years. I do know you better than I know myself. Good morning campers. It is a beautiful day here on the Bay of Cotor. Just just look at that. Look. Isn’t that gorgeous? And we are just waiting for a bus, the blue line bus that travels between Tivat and Cotor all day um to take us to Cotor because we have got a very exciting day lined up. So excited. Mark’s really excited. Look, can you see how excited he is? We’re going to the supermarket. He’s like stood there like we can’t miss the bus. We can’t miss the bus, which we can’t because this isn’t a bus stop, official bus stop. So, we have to flag it down. And I’ve got my um underpants here waiting to wave them. Yeah, it will stop here if you if you wave. If not, we’ve got to walk up to the ferry which is up there or all the way down there. But we’ve seen lots of people being dropped off and picked up here. So, we’ve been told it’s okay to do that. Um but yeah, we need to get this one cuz not quite sure how long the journey is. 15 minutes or is it longer? Not sure. But we’ve got to be where we’re going today half an hour before. So, we want to leave ourselves plenty of time. And we bought a big bottle of water yesterday from the supermarket and it’s all gone already. So, we’ve got no drinks. So, we’ve got to go and get drinks, haven’t we? Too early for beer. Yeah, it’s way too early for beer. We’ll catch up with you in a bit. Exciting. Hi guys. So, we are on a boat trip. Oh my god, it’s rocking already. We’ve got a 3hour boat tour of the Bay of Cotor. I hear All right. Wow. That’s cool, isn’t it? Wow, look at that. Montenegro has these incredible cold war era submarine tunnels built by the old Yuguslav army. They were carved into the cliffs in the 1970s, and some of the entrances were even disguised as rocks to hide submarines from spy planes. You can find a bunch of them around the Bay of Couttor, especially near the village of Rose. Um, today they’re totally open, dark, echoey caverns where you can take these boats in and walk through or even dive to see corals and sponges and the occasional octopus. How cool was that? That was so cool. That was exciting. That was a 9 out of 10. And and it’s another James Bond location. Another one. Yeah. Which one was it? Spy who loved me. Oh my god, mate. He’s got me. I’m soaked. So, this is Mamula Island, which used to be a prison, but it’s now owned by an Israeli businessman, and it is a private 20,000 star hotel that costs between €1,000 and €4,000 a night. It’s quite a way out though, isn’t it, darling? I think we’ll give that one a miss. We won’t get no delivery. No. We’re going in here. This is the blue cave. Wow. We’re going to have to duck. What you need is a gondola. Oh, wow. Woohoo. Wow. Check it out. Check that out. Is that cool? We’re going to follow that water. So, if you want to go for a swim, they’ll stop here for about 20 minutes and you can go for a swim. We thought it might be a bit cold. Do you want to go in, darling? Do you have to go in in your underpants? the brown and the orange on the side. Right in the heart of the Bay of Cotor is the tiny island Our Lady of the Rocks, a man-made island built by paras sailors who began dropping rocks into the sea after every safe voyage. This started in around 1452. Over centuries, locals kept adding rocks until the island took shape. And the beautiful Baroque Church you see today was built in the 1600s and completed around 1637. Boats come here every day with tourists to explore its art, legends, and incredible views. Where? Oh my gosh. So, we survived the speedboat tour. That was quite mental. It was good fun. It was really good fun. I got to drive it. You did get to drive it. um really worth the money. Um I I booked it through the business, so it ended up costing about £25 each. Um you can book it online or you can book it when you get here. It’s like 3540. Um you get to see quite a lot, but honestly, if you don’t travel very well, make sure you take C6 tablets. It was cool. It was exciting. It was really choppy and really like bangy, but it was You haven’t been on a cruise for a while, have we? So, it didn’t feel like a cruise, darling. Did it? No, nowhere near a cruise. But yeah, really good. It takes you to Our Lady of the Chapel, Little Island, which was really busy and you only had 15 minutes cuz I think he was a little bit behind which and he had to fuel up the road. Oh, yeah. We had to stop for fuel, which I’m not surprised because the way he was moving. Yeah. So really that’s like well that’s on your time not on our time but apart from that it was very good but there wasn’t really enough time to do anything there because you had to queue for the toilet. Mark went and got us some ice cream. Um, and then you had to pay to go inside the chapel. So, we didn’t do that. But no, so we’re back in the uh So, we’re back safe and sound, back in the city town. And we were going to do some more stuff here today, but it has been a long day. And it’s about a 30 40 minute bus journey back. And so, we’re going to call it a day tonight, aren’t we? Pigeons. Got the intent the attention span of a pigeon. Catch you later. Leaving the wheel to live now and sat sat stood at this bus stop for an hour. This should have been a bus at 4:00. It’s now 5:00. It only goes from to that to coour. So, it should have turned around in couture to be going back. So, we don’t know what’s happened to it.
