In episode 10, Patrick and Jenny begin their adventure in Nevers. They spend most of the day bicycling along the Eurovelo 6, La Loire a velo, which follows a canal. Along the way they have a picnic lunch and get their first flat tire. This cycling day was their longest yet, 43 miles or 69 kilometers. They bicycle through the city of Decize toward their final destination, Cronat. In Cronat, they spend the night at Le Heron Pourpre B&B Gastronomique where they have a wonderful dinner and breakfast.

Hello. Come on. Tell you miss. In today’s cycle route, we begin in the city of Neair. Cycle along the canal that runs parallel to the Lir River. cross the Loir in the city of Dece and finish our ride in Cronot, a total of 43 miles or 69 km, our longest cycle day yet. We woke up on a hot September morning, packed our purs, loaded our bikes, walked our bikes through three sets of doors, and soon came across a Saturday market. All along the canal, we kept passing pairs of swans. Over the picnic table. Yeah, the water source is labeled right between the two picnic tables. So, I don’t know what that means, but we’ll probably see it when we get over there. Okay, here we are. Another lunch. What did we get the balloon bulerie this morning? Here we have kiche espanol. Spanish kiche with chorizo and I think she said tomatoes. And I see some vegetable in there as well. So it looks really lovely. And I see tomato as well. So great. On our way to Crona. Here we have some avon that looks like it’s uh changing color. And there’s a little canal here. Oh my gosh. Whoa. That’s some good Avon. And we’ve been following this canal all the way. And we have some Belgian people that we keep bum buming into. Okay. Okay, I got my first flat. My handy dandy mechanic is I think we’re going to start by just pumping it up. Oh, we’re going to just pump it up first. Let’s see. I’ve been going over these. We both been going over these acorns and they pop and I just One was so loud I I think it popped. We got some curious cows. They’re going to check us out. Hello. We have a flat. They’re very cute. Patrick pumped up the tire and I was on my merry way, but it did not last long. The tire deflated again. Back working on the tire, the flat. Um Patrick pumped it up first and it got us into town. Got us into town and it’s a shady spot. It is hot today. It’s 80 something. I don’t know. But um now he’s really taking it apart. He’s going to put a new or no, he’s either going to patch it. I have some patches. And it seems like kind of a small leak. So, I thought maybe we should try patching it just so we don’t have to buy another tire, you know? Yeah. Hoping that we don’t have that issue with the tire seating like we have on my bike when we try and put it all back in. Blowing on my cheek. Oh, wow. Good. This time the now patched tire held air. We were able to cycle through the heavily traffked city of deceased and back into the countryside. Soon we stopped at a small town to fill up our water bottles and to try out a automatic cleaning toilet. I’m waiting for the toilet. It is doing this monster spray thing. And on the other side, we have another sink and a pee area for men. Men always get a little something extra. The water stopped. It turned green. And now I can open the door. And now I’m going to have the press the key. Now the floor is all wet, which is a little weird, but it’s all set for me. Bye. We cycled a little further and then stopped at a nice looking picnic table to enjoy some treats that we had picked up earlier. For the GoPro, we have pistachio cherry and we have pear raspberry. After enjoying our delicious treats, we got back on our bikes and cycled through farmland. After a long day of cycling, we finally arrived in the town of Crona. We were staying at leon per the purple heron bed and breakfast where we received a very warm welcome from Martin the proprietor. Hey bour. Oh okay. Hello. Come on. Miss here. M say Patrick. Yeah. Is this the place for the bicyclist? The parking. Okay. So, you can park your bikes down here. Great. Thank you. Martin and his wife Yolanda, who are originally from Holland, are a very welcome site to many cyclists on the Eurabelloo 6 route. They serve dinner and breakfast. Martin, who is a trained chef, and with Yolanda by his side, created a delicious meal for us very hungry cyclists. That evening, we shared the space with a local family who were celebrating a birthday party. The entree that we’re looking at now was a puff pastry with scallops. Delicious. This is the main of our dinner. Is it ve? It is ve cauliflower, mushrooms, carrot. Um, enjoy Patrick. That is decadent cursed cake. So it’s chocolate cake with creme with white cream. Mhm. Cherries. A lot of K. Mhm. Mhm. Dark chocolate. Very nice. Thank you. We will enjoy. Thank you. I did not get an opportunity to film the room we slept in until the following morning and it has started to rain. I apologize for our stuff being all over the place. It was a very restful sleep that we had. So, this is the little patio outside our room and we’re just got into this little thing that you walk like you walk in these doors and we got here yesterday so we made a mess out of the room. Um it’s a nice little room. It’s got everything like a hot and um chair over here and a nice bath big bathroom. shower, sink with space, and a toilet. So, now we’re going to go have our breakfast here. We had a wonderful dinner last night that they that they served the husband and wife, Martin and Yolanda, who run this service, a wonderful meal. So, here we go. Have breakfast. We had a wonderful breakfast spread with freshsqueezed orange juice. We were now ready to get back on our bikes.
