all these bikes SUCK. because of the suspension. all suntour spring forks are ass unless they are air . get a cheap second hand one like this and some rockshox forks trust me it’ll be 1000x better.
I travel to work on a bike and it had pot hole sharp ledges and construction work and metal plates in the road that cover up the road and the 4 different ways to work are hard on speed bike/ road bike “skinny tiers” but I have 29 inch Trek marlin 4 now so for work I got a Gaint Roam 4 because it has 3 gears up front and I really like it for the city and snow and uphill the speed bikes are hard to get started for me and the 3 gears up front that are all three not that big even the biggest one is perfect for my city work commute it has 29 inch tires that soke up the cracks and bumps it roles right over small humps and it has hybrid tires buton the beefy side but yeah if you don’t have a ton to spend like me speclized Trek Gaint Carbondale are good place to look I wish I could get a Scott or Canyon, Sana Cruze or Yettie or YT or pivot or polygon but my bank account won’t allow it am sticking with Specialized, Trek and Gaint for cruzer, DH MTB and road bike and hybrid bike
I have kellys spider 50 I think… In red… It's also hardtail, I've learned a lot of things and here I got it new for 500€… I mean, it needs some upgrades but it really good bike for me…
Good short list. Nukeproof, Vitus, salsa, Kona all make very good options. Nukeproof has been my pick do far due to the best Geo and most importantly short straight seat tube for longest possible dropper insertion.
