[Ep. 42] The Dutch keep on cycling in fall. Even in rain, wind and early darkness they just keep on doing what they do all year long. Roads are swept clear of slippery leaves and umbrellas and special rain-suits keep the cyclists dry.
I'm living in Utrecht now…went back to Toronto and was horrified at the cars. My dad made fun of me for wanting to cycle… such is the mentality of North Americans.
Much better to be stuck in traffic for 2 hours a day…….yeah
@emforty2 I know, right?? It's almost as if the bike hasn't been around for 200+ years, and that the governments of most countries don't seem to realize the benefits of it and are content to spend zillions on expansive road networks instead of cheap bike paths. *tries to hide seething anger* o_e

@tubeshow1000 Actually, the saying goes: "God created the world, but the Dutch created the Netherlands"… 🙂
This is Utrecht, right? Not Amsterdam.
@MarcelvanLuijn most images shot in 's-Hertogenbosch (Den Bosch) some in Utrecht but none in Amsterdam, that is right.
