We rode on some of the best gravel that Cyprus has to offer. It was truly amazing traveling to a brand new cycling destination that is really not on the map with most cyclists. Enjoy this small glimpse into what Gravel in Cyprus is.

This is gravel and tney cyprus. We rented some gravel bikes from Activate Cyprus and Mike took us on a spectacular gravel ride. The terrain, I would have to say, is rather tricky if you’ve never done gravel. It looks smooth, but some of the corners are really sandy and there’s some deep ruts that you get stuck in. How’s the gravel? There were a lot of punchy little clims on this ride which led to some nice desending. Okay. Partially the ride felt a little bit like Perry rubé. You were basically connecting all these gravel sections on a smooth tarmac. So you could basically recover, get some energy, and then get right back into the gravel. Then we entered this valley of hidden gravel which was absolutely a joy to ride. From the sunny side into the dark side. A bit foreshadowing maybe. This whole week we’ve primarily been riding road bikes, helping Yasper test Cypress as a new location for his next cycling fanatics camp. He usually doesn’t Mayorca, but Cypress seems to be a bit of a hidden gem. This upcoming section is basically the spirit of gravel. Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. Heat. Oh, dang. Drop the chain again. Heat. Heat. We started getting worried about the sunlight because we didn’t really have lights. Well, one of us had lights and we still had a long way to go. So, we decided to cut it short, take the left side, which was a 3k climb between 15 and 22%. Still a bit of flying aka the shortcut or snail copeling. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. So if we take this road we will come back at the at the Yeah. If we take this go straight up. A bit steep, guys, but Oh, you don’t shorter. You don’t say for this. Yeah. Ah, next to it. You don’t have to carry it on. Might have to shift. Yeah, I can shift. I can shift to the lighter gear one to get over. And then I don’t know how many shifts I have left. So, I coast. We’ll see. We’ll take turns pushing you. Yeah. Well, we can use the the cable to shift it up once. But in the front it’s very difficult. I try advant It is brutal. At least the view is amazing. 15% work at all Yeah. Catch your leg. No. See? Oh, yeah. Here. On the up on uphill. Yeah. I call elephant. Yep. Oh, you call me elephant. No, I I was speaking in Dutch to know. I thought it was really cool. between the five of us. So, we only had three tail lights. So, I decided to be lantern rouge and stay in the back of the pack and get down this descent safely in the dark. Heat. Heat. Time for 6. Yay.
