Hi, everyone. My name is Erin. And today, I’m going to show you
some of my favorite things to do in Southampton as a student. I’m currently on the bus on the
way into the city centre. So come and spend the day with me. The first stop on my little day
out is the Old Town Walk. So this is a walk that basically
takes you from the docks back into the city centre. And it’s got little tudor buildings. There’s lots to look at. There’s coffee shops, in and around. There’s pubs, somewhere to get a drink, food. And it’s just a cute little walk. And that is what I’m going to do first. If you follow the wall along, it
will take you to West Quay. Now, I know this is self-explanatory. It’s a shopping center. You must visit the shopping center. However, my favorite part about
Southampton City Centre and the shopping center is actually
the food court area. It is this area behind me. I just think it’s really cute. They’ve all got outside space. And there’s really a wide range of food types. And I just really like this open space here and how you can sit outside, grab a picnic, go to a restaurant. And I just think it’s really unique. And it’s nice, especially in the summer
months when it’s sunny. Here at Christmas, they also do ice
skating, which is cute. And there’s a little Christmas
market here as well. One thing about Southampton is they have really good coffee. And on the way, we saw a pony. And that was definitely something. Definitely making today memorable. Cheers. This little area is Bedford Place. I don’t really hear that many
people talking about it, but I really kind of love it. It’s filled with independent stores, barbers. They’ve got craft beer, hairdressing. There’s a shoe shop, lots of coffee shops. And it’s so cute. And this vegan coffee place is
really good as well. I’m now at Southampton Common. And I like the Common. I like to come here for a picnic, barbecue. It’s very versatile. It’s a good green space. One thing about Southampton is there’s
a lot of green spaces, both on campus and off of campus. And personally, the Common is
everybody’s favorite. I’ve not met someone that doesn’t
like coming to the Common. So essentially, I’ve just done a straight line with a bit of curve from the city centre through Bedford Place, through the Common. And now I’m back near Highfield Campus. There’s a little underpass, which
is really helpful, going from the Common to the Highfield
area, which is great. And I hope you have enjoyed seeing
some of my favorite things to do in the Southampton area. And yeah, I will see you next time. Bye.
