BE BRAVE – THINK BIG – EXPLORE
In the past 5 years, we’ve built and lived in two vans, moved country, developed abandoned land into our dream home, had two kids, built a stone house from the ground up, and began preparing for our next big adventure. It’s time to start our next big project in Portugal. We’re turning this old reservoir into a barn. And everything hinges on this going right. We’ll tell you more about it in a few minutes, but first, let’s finish off some work from around our farm. Good morning, everybody. Welcome back. Thank you so much for joining us again and for pressing play. It’s a beautiful day here and we’ve got tons to fill you in on. I can see the guys just around the corner are putting in those last window frames from the on the front windows of the house. I’m so excited to see how that works out because we’ve been looking at that blue insulation for so long to see it with those stone pillars around the outsides of the windows. It’s going to be brilliant. It is going to be mega. But we’ve been so busy all over the farm looking after various bits and bobs. We’ve been down at the bool giving it a good clean. That’s looking amazing, isn’t it, love? I think we’re pretty pleased with how that settled and turned out. Yeah, there’s a lot of wildlife down there. A couple of snakes as well. Yeah, exactly. The boys had their last swim for 2025, which was a big day. Um, and John’s been down on the lawn finishing off the outside kitchen. As much as it can be finished off until spring, isn’t it? That’s right. Yeah. But we are going to share with you guys what the next big project is here in Portugal. It’s super important to get right. It’s very tall because everything hinges on that going well. Without it, we can’t move into this house and we can’t head off to Zim, which is happening towards the end of the year. For our first few month stint in Africa, starting on projects there. So, it’s a big one. Yeah, we quite literally we have to get that project done before we leave for Zim and we’re excited to get to Zim. So, because we got projects all lined up and ready to go over there, but the weather’s wreaking havoc with us. It’s been absolutely bucketing down with rain. like truly biblical rain for the last few weeks on and off out of nowhere, everlasting. So, um yeah, it’s been kind of chaos, but fun. Anyway, for now, should we go and check out what’s going on with these window frames? Yeah, let’s do it. I um I asked uh Jose um the main contractor, the boss guy. I asked him this morning a little bit about the schedules and how things are going to be looking. So, the roof will be going on within the next 3 to four weeks. It’s also weather dependent, is it? Yeah. Um, and the rendering will be going on at the same time. And all of the roof, by the way, the entire roof, even the wooden bits will go on all at the same time. So, it will basically be a week that we that I think he said we’re going to be prepping for it now. And then, you know, when it comes, it’ll all go on same time. One thing he did say to me also was that he will be getting rid of the crane probably before Christmas. Nice. As soon as the roof is on, the crane goes goes. Okay. Basically, as as everybody knows, we’re heading off to Africa a little bit um towards the early part of next year to go and have a fiddle around with the project that we’ve got over there. Um and basically what that means is probably before we get to Africa, we will be able to see the entire house externally pretty much finished um and ready to go. So, without the crane in front of it, which would be great. Wow. What that means is when we get back from Zimbabwe, we are almost certainly going to be heading straight inside and starting work on the internal decorations, the internal fixtures and fittings. I can start working myself on building a new kitchen. I can start working on the bathrooms. We can start working on the furnitureures, all of the really fun stuff, the stuff that I can be more involved in straight away. And I can’t wait. I’m so excited. Um while Marcus is up there with Roi um putting those door those window frames in. Um let’s just rewind you a little bit and catch up with what’s been going on down on the lawn and over in the bop poolool over the last few days. Um we are down on the lawn this morning working on that incredible countertop that John has started on with these tiles. This morning he’s just gone off to the not garage to go and fetch the grout so that he can start sticking them into their final location. I’m so so excited about it. And then this afternoon, I’m going to do something that I have I may or may not have been putting on for a few days. Right. I even got my shorts on. Look. Ready. Very good. To go and delime the bopool. All right. Hey, you want to know something cool? You see this water here? Yeah. I collected that from the pipe that comes out from the um septic tank. So, a while ago, we had that enormous water treatment plant. uh not plant but the water treatment system delivered that uses bubbles and bacteria to clean the water and get rid of all of the solids and nasty bits and then it puts the water clean water back into the system. So ours runs a big pipe all the way down here until off the lawn and John’s just collected the water from the tiles from there. Isn’t that amazing? [Music] So yesterday I came down here and I just started chopping away at some tiles. Here we go. This is what we got. This is what we ended up with. My my biggest challenge I can see coming up is we got to take the tiles off in order to be able to stick them down. Just take off bit by bit and put them back again. What I really love is all of these textures and colors, you know, the kind of roughness of the terra cotta and then these like pops of color. So, picture this guys, the arches. We’re going to have oak doors in there and oak trim around the edges. This beautiful tiled top. And you know what one of the best things is about this entire project is we’re at this point and it still has cost us absolutely nothing except for the purchase of that bag of tile grout yesterday. That’s incredible, isn’t it? For such a magnificent, beautiful build. Cost us absolutely nothing. Amazing. One thing I’ve learned when working with terra cotta is you don’t want to stick a terra cotta tile down that’s dry. Got to be wet. It’s also nice. You get to see what color it’s going to be when it’s finished. Was that one there? Yeah, pretty sure it was. These really complicated designs. It’s just a really time consuming job to get it all in place. These little tiles are really they they’re going to take up a lot of um cement cuz they’ve all got to be fully supported underneath otherwise they’ll crack. So, on the build side today, we actually only have two guys. Focus is on getting the last of those exterior walls built up. Friday, we had some more of those enormous boulders delivered, which need to be cut down to size. Uh, that is our last delivery of stone, guys. I don’t think we’re going to get another delivery of stone on this build. That’s it. It’s done. So when the compressor comes tomorrow afternoon, Marcus can start cutting the stone and getting it ready to be used in what’s left on the house, which really is just the front arches and a small part of one of the side walls, and then it’s all going to be done. Can you believe it? So, we edge ever closer to getting the roof on, and we edge ever closer to being actually properly prepared for winter to arrive. Let’s see where we get to. [Music] [Music] These days are running slow. shining on the sea. No place on earth. [Music] And I could try to just follow the swell, but I’ll never find this anywhere else. [Music] All those places on the wall come close to this. I’m sure you try to stay the same. Tell me, have you ever danced in the rain? And I could try to follow anywhere. Right. Um I’m going to go find my wife. I think we’re going to be spending some time in the bio this afternoon. That’ll be fun. And um going to go and eat some lunch. [Music] There we go. If anybody’s looking for feat content, yeah, that’s free. Let me know. Yeah, this first time is free, but after that we’re going to start charging. [Music] Oh dear. Anyway, come on then. We’ve got work to do. So, the plan this afternoon for me is to sort out the bop poolool. We seem to have had a real infestation of slime. I think it’s not a bad thing, but it definitely needs to be maintained. The trick with maintaining this pool, which Martin explained to us when he came and gave us all the plants, is to reduce the amount of organic matter that’s in the pool. Um because basically that provides nutrients for algae. So you want to keep that as low as possible, which involves taking all of these um bits of slime out, but also autumn starting. So there’s loads of leaves falling into the pool. So we need to get those out as well and trim back any of the plants that are in there that have died or have got deadly. start with this and see how we get on. Anyway, it is going to rain in 3 days time. Harrah. So, um I know John’s been putting down a bunch of grass seed here to try and get this lawn to keep growing. Hopefully, this is a fairly quick and pretty painless job. Anyway, have a look at this pool. It still looks so beautiful, but I am keen to get rid of this blinking slime. Are you going to help? Are you? It’s weird stuff. Slime, isn’t it? Like, what is slime? Is it an algae? Yeah, it’s not a plant, right? So, it’s it’s from what I understood when Martin was here, it is a product that’s basically surviving because of the circumstances and the environment within the water. If you change that by putting more oxygen in the water, it will just fix itself and go away. Yeah, it’s stagnant around the edges. It It’s certainly very stagnant. Oh, it’s really cold. All right. It’s such a zen space, isn’t it? It’s Yeah, it’s magic. We are We are going to absolutely need to do something a lot more with it. Um, next spring, I think, isn’t it? We’re talking about putting some sort of accommodation up on the terrace, down on the terrace here. Yeah, possibly if we can find the right fit for it. Interesting to see what you guys think. You know, with our change of plans for this property and the idea that other people can come and stay here, we were like, “Oh, should we add some sort of kind of glamping element to it, you know, with an A-frame or a yurt of some description? Let us know what you think.” You you know what is cool though is that the the water in the main part of the bio, the deep part, is perfectly clean. You know, you can literally see through to the bottom. I came down here to check how it was doing and there was a massive bird of prey which is trying to eat our chickens which is not good. But a massive bird of prey in the trees behind here and it had a huge snake. It had caught a massive snake. [Music] Gosh, you guys, this is a real moment for this pool. After 3 years spent building it with countless headaches, mistakes, and delays, we’re finally at a place where it’s all about loving it and taking care of it, we are proud as punch over how this turned out. And I know that this place is going to hold so many memories. Not just for our little family, but for lots of you guys one day, too. Do you know what? I think I might go for a swim after. Yeah, that would be nice. Probably the last swim of the year for 2025, isn’t it? Could be. Yeah. How crazy, man? Where did 2025 go? Satisfying, isn’t it, to see it change from being a bit green to perfectly clean cuz underneath that green, that slime, what it’s looking for is oxygen and sunshine. That’s what makes it it grow. So, it’s usually on the surface. Underneath it all is that beautiful plants that Martin put here all those months ago. We’ve had such a summer in this. Boys have been in almost every day. That’s compost heaven. That is so lime. Oh, it’s heaven for two little boys. Oh no. Look at that. Look at that. How immediately you can see straight through. So satisfying. Nice. So these beautiful elephant ears. I think Martin planted four along the edge here. And you can see all of them kind of have made babies. I was just showing John that there. And how interesting is this? If you look here, I was just looking at this. They shoot out these kind of ryomes to find new spots to grow. Um, so we’ll leave that there in the water. And this whole edge will one day be these beautiful elephant ears. That is incredible. Everything is just so happy in this pool. [Music] What are you up to? This is the venomous frog. It’s the color frog toad. Okay, cool. Oh, so [Music] good. There we go. My boy better than I am. Well done, my boy. Quick, quick, quick, quick, quick, quick, quick. He definitely [Music] is cold. [Music] All right. Um, that was a lot of fun, wasn’t it? Always a lot of fun down in the bio pool. There’s something magical about that place. I’m so pleased that we busted through that moment or those myriad moments of I don’t want to do this kind of thing, you know? It was was one of those projects that just kind of really grinded a little bit. So, anyway, really pleased that we got it down there. It’s looking in really great shape, nice and healthy. Haven’t quite finished the day just yet. nip down to the outdoor kitchen, finish off that tiling, and uh first I got to get changed. Who’s ready? One, two, three, go. Go. Oh my goodness. How comfy is that? Hey, who’s got the best bed? Me. Me. Me. Right. You boys going to take the boxes? Yes. Emma sleep. Something for everyone. Hey, [Music] he’s so silly. Well, that was good timing and I’ve got a massive treat for you guys and a huge thank you to say to Emma Sleep for partnering with us on this video. We have upgraded our sleep situation massively with Emma Sleep this season and they’re having their biggest ever Black Friday sale and our discount code will get you an extra 6% on that Black Friday sale. So, we’ve gone for the premium mattress topper which has got this foam layer that absorbs heat and moisture giving you the very best night sleep possible. It helps to regulate your temperature and your sleep environment. And everybody knows that that deep sleep phase of your sleep cycle is the most important and it’s the one that gets disrupted by irregular temperature fluctuations while you’re sleeping. It also protects your mattress because that exposure to heat and moisture will make your mattress sag over time. So the topper gives you an extra layer of protection looking after your mattress and yourself. So we got toppers for the boys beds as well. And let me tell you, since we put those on, the boys have slept through the night. And I’m not just saying that. That is truly incredible. Since I put those toppers on the boys’ beds, their sleep has been so much better, so undisturbed, and we’re all getting more sleep as a result. We also got a couple of their premium foam pillows, which is John’s preference to have this kind of firmer pillow. It also has the same thermosync technology so that you don’t overheat, and it gives you that lovely memory foam support. I prefer a fluffier pillow. So, we got some of the cloud premium cloud pillows, which feel lovely and soft and fluffy. One of the one one of the new things that we’ve got that I’m so excited about is Emma’s four season duvet. Now, this is very intriguing to me because I find it really tricky to navigate needing so many different duvets for the seasons. And if there’s one that can manage all four seasons, I am here for it because these things take up a lot of space. So, what makes this really, really clever is that it’s actually two duvys with poppers. So, you can double up your duvet bang for your buck or separate them and have a lighter summer duvet cover. This to me is absolutely genius and we’ll let you know how it goes once we’ve flipped with them. There are huge savings to be had and our very special code will get you that extra 6% off. They have a 200 sleep night guarantee as well as a 10-year warranty on all of their products. So, you can rest assured that they’re a brand that you can trust and that the investment in your sleep is worthwhile and best done through Emma. [Music] All right, that’s a pretty busy day. Um, all of the tiles have been put into place pretty much. Let everything cure. Give it a good old scrub. And then I’ll put some oil into the terra cotta tiles. That’ll seal it. And then later on tomorrow, we’re going to get some cement render and just fill in all of those gaps. And we can then start on the next phase of the projects, which will be putting some wood in, building a small stone wall across the back here, and just generally aiming to get things locked in and finished off before that rain comes, which is any day now. [Music] That is the king. Pretty amazing, my love. My darling. Cool. I’ve never tried to do it like this before. I’ve had so much trouble with terra cotta tiles in the past. You know, when you get cement, it seems when you get cement on the or concrete mix on the tiles, they just don’t like it. And it’s really difficult to get that stuff off without breaking the tile. So, or making the tile just look gnarly and like white. So, we want to try and keep those red colors on the tiles. So, you’ve got like an ice an icing gun for cement. Is it going to work? That sounds a bit like it’s stuck. It’s not working. I think that’s very sandy. It’s really sandy. Okay, that’s maybe not the best plan, but let let’s see if I can just get this like this. Now, I’ve put three coats of oil. Yeah, this is going to take a really long time. Daddy here. [Music] This really is a dog’s life. Nearly done, though. Nearly done. All right, chaps. So, phase two begins. We finished grouting before lunch, as you saw. And now, um I think the plan for the afternoon is for John to start laying stones for that patio bit kind of outside the front of the kitchen. And then I know you are excited, aren’t you, love, to move on to some woodwork. rather than lifting heavy rocks. Can you help us carry rocks? Just the minimum. Okay, buddy. Good work. Oh, yeah. I got it. Well done. You That’s a perfect fit for right there. What do you think? Right there. Put it in right. Thanks, Chris. That’s a great one. I think we’re going to put that one right there. Oh, thanks. We’re now nearing the end of this kitchen build, and I, for one, am so proud of John for creating something so beautiful. So much of the beauty around the farm is slowly reaching its conclusion. These gorgeous arches have been pointed and frame our view with a perfection I could never have imagined. Thank you all for being with us and we would be so grateful if you check to make sure that you are subscribed to our channel. It’s completely free and it helps us and our little family more than you could ever know. [Music] Right. Um what have we got? We need some wood to to start finishing that project off. I really want to finish this project quite quickly. Um now a couple of reasons. The first reason is the rain is here. We’ve got other things that we really really need to do like for example prepare everything that is in the not garage to be moved. We need to find a space for that to be moved to a different location. I’ve got some ideas um around what we’re going to do with that. That would be the bigger priority right now is working out how to get a very leaky not garage. Either not leaking or we’re going to have to knock it down. Everybody knows we’re going to have to knock it down. The not garage is leaking. It’s not looking particularly good. We’ve got a whole bunch of furniture and stuff in there that we want to protect for the winter time. So, we either fix the not garage again or we start looking at other alternatives. And I think the plan for that will be let’s look at a more permanent alternative solution and then of course we can knock down the not gar. It’s going to be a really sad day that one, but we need to do it. Look up here, guys. Marcus is pretty much almost done, isn’t he? Is that his last stone? Well, he’s No, he’s not. No, it’s not quite his last stone. He’s got like he’s got to do the whole side of the house as well up to the roof. Oh yeah. He’s got one more little bit of line to do there and a bit of the corner here on that arch. And then he’s got this underneath bit to do. And that’s it. He’s done on the outside. It look I’m so proud of that. It looks magnificent, doesn’t it? Doesn’t it? Beautiful. I’m proud of the the fellas that have been helping build it as well. I’m really really excited to get in there myself and start um putting our own stamp on the internal parts of it, you know. So, love, the plan is to rim that whole worktop with wood, right? Definitely. We put the rim around here and we’ll finish off the top bit, but it might be a good idea to wait until next spring to start building the doors and finish this off. All right, let’s cut a couple of pieces of wood and see how it goes together. Okay. Heat. [Music] Yeah, got some very beautiful pieces of wood there. Nice. Let’s just pop those there. Get the other two so they’re out the way of the fellas. That very much looks like they’re putting a going to be running a scaffolding along here. Okay. Onto that and up to do the corner. Oh, right. Okay. I see. I think any they’ve been working a lot up here like getting ready for this last bit of corner. Hopefully we’ve got the right width. Yeah, hopefully indeed. What’s going on there? Well, if I’d have known it would just break in half anyway, I wouldn’t have bothered with the table saw. All right. Can you grab the um the skill saw in there? Skill saw? Yeah, sure. I can’t wait to be putting the roof on that. I know. 2 3 weeks. Yeah. Very, very exciting. Will definitely be the next big turning point, won’t it? It will be. I feel like there’s been a few kind of key moments, haven’t they? Like I remember, do you remember in the beginning, you guys, when we were pouring the concrete for the house and it was like, “Oh, man.” Do you know, in some ways, you look back on times like that and it like there’s so many happy memories and it’s like, “Look how far we’ve come.” And then there’s like a mix of nostalgia for the simplicity of it. Um definitely now I think there’s like a I don’t know we definitely weren’t as stressed then as we have been recently and there’s definitely you know when you think back to times like that you think oh my gosh life felt so much simpler and so much easier than it does now. Um not complaining just sharing. Uh cuz yeah it’s you know there’s there’s all sorts going on in our world as you know and it it’s hard to juggle sometimes. Can you hold the other end of that for me? Right. [Music] Good. Good. All right, let’s take it down. Oh, it looks really nice, love. That looks really, really good. [Music] [Music] So, when we when we’ve got the wooden bits in place, of course, what we’ll do is we’ll sand and we’ll router and we’ll we’ll put some um some cement glue, concrete glue in the gaps here um and tidy it all up so it’s nice and flush. I just really like the wood and the the terra cotta. Yeah, it’s very beautiful. And the stone, it all just ties in really nicely, darling. I’m going to love and leave you for a bit if that’s okay. What’s that? I’m going to go and edit and I’ll leave you here. Yeah. We’ll see you in a bit. All right. I just had to run up from the lawn. Everything’s got wet down there and I haven’t had any time to treat the wood or prime the wood. um which is just a little bit frustrating. Wait for the rain to stop, go down there, try and dry it out. Hopefully there’s a couple of days in the in the this week, later this week maybe where it stops raining and I can just get back down there and and carry on with what I need to do. Well, we’ll see. All I can say is um I’m really really hopeful. I’m starting to really feel like it’s going to be a real winner of a project that time of year, folks. Everybody’s delighted. All right. [Music] That’s it. The rain has stopped. The build has stopped as well. It’s lunchtime now. I was putting some silicon in the um gaps between the wood and the and the tiles as it started to rain. Of course, I think that looks pretty okay. Ah, it’s beautiful here. That is a solid blue sky up there now as well. Love it. Love it. Love it. Love it. Hopefully the rest of the day now we can just crack on with uh with what we need to get done. Okay, I’m going to wait for it to dry out a little bit down there. It’s absolutely soaking wet. So, just going to go and have a look at the other end of the farm now at the next project to see what we’ve got going on up there. I talked to you a little bit earlier about the not garage, the need for it to come down. It’s all busted up and leaking and I think I mentioned it as well. But in short, one of the things we’d like to do before we go to Zimbabwe next year, and when we go to Zimbabwe, just to remind people, we’re going to be going backwards and forwards. It’s not just a we’re off. We’re never coming back to Portugal. Got houses to finish. We’ve got projects to do. And we’ve got friends in Portugal that we want to hang out with, too. So, before we go for the first stint Africa and start working on our projects over there, I really want to be able to start thinking about knocking down the not garage. That burns to say that, you know. Um, so what have we got in mind? Where are we going to put all the stuff from the not garage? It’s a really good question. Here’s your answer. What we’re thinking about doing is putting it all here. Huh? Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. I hear you. Bit weird. This is our couch swimming pool. In the summertime, we have so much fun in I think Cruso’s pretty much learned how to swim in that in that uh pool. We don’t really need this reservoir now because we’ve got the biopool. firepool holds considerably more water than the reservoir, the couch swimming pool at the top here. So anyway, that’s it folks. The the next project over the next couple of weeks, and I don’t think it’s going to be a big project. I’m pretty confident it’s not going to take particularly very long. In fact, I’m really hopeful it’s not going to take very long at all, is to turn the couch swimming pool into the not garage. But we can’t call it the not garage. Because as some people have said in comments, the not garage has got its own soul. I mean, when you start messing around with a not garage soul, you don’t know quite which direction you’re going to end up in. So, we’ll have to find a different name for the couch not garage. Comments below, please, folks. Comments below. Help us out with some ideas. Okay, my darling. What are you up to? Catching up to the news. Can I have a glass of water? Okay, I need some help. Yeah, I need some help. I need a piece of paper. I need a pencil. I need a tape measure. I know where the tape measure is kind of. That’s unusual. Um and I need um paper and pencils. Can you bring them? I’m not sure I have any. I’ll go and have a look. Ask the boys. I’ll ask the boys. We’ll steal their stuff for a change. Yeah, why not? I don’t know. Whether or not the boys actually lose your tape measures is um Okay, folks. There we go. Hidden away. Love it. I can see my lovely wife here. She’s got her ready. I’ve got my pad, my paper. Isn’t this the sunshine incredible? Beautiful. Literally 3 minutes ago, the boys are playing in that puddle and it was pouring with rain. Yeah. Well, it was about half an hour ago. About an hour and a half. Okay. Is it really? Yeah. Anyway, what do you need from me? Right. Let’s do it. Garden all very sad. Anyway, welcome folks to the next. So, the plan is to turn this into our new not not not not garage. I’ve already asked people for ideas of names. Not tank. The not tank. The not tank. You just you just spoiled it. Sorry. That was a good one though. That’s true. Yeah. Imagine. Here’s my tape measure. Have you looked in the not tank? It’s not the same. It is. It’s better. It’s the not tank. Don’t bother giving suggestions. The not tank. Great. All right. All right. So, um, what’s the plan with the not tank me for? Let me let me measure it up. Take take the take the camera. Okay. 3.3 m. Okay. 4.5 m. What we’re going to do is we’re going to get some pressuret treated wood. That’s like the green wood, the wood that doesn’t rot. Um, and we’re going to get some felt. And we’re going to put some felt or a damp proof course all the way around the top of this not tank tank. No, we’re not calling it that yet. Yes, we are. We’re going to put it all the way around the top and then um we’re going to put the pressure treated wood on top of that damproof course and then we’re going to build a wooden frame on top of that with a roof. Simple. Love it. And we can clad it like the tiny house. I mean like the stone house extension. Look really pretty. Exactly. Yeah. So, um, we’re what we’ll do for a door is we’ll cut a big hole here. Douche douche. And then the door will be here. And then we’ll take one of those windows that we’ve got left over. Juel’s taking a couple of them for his project. Um, but we’ve got a couple of windows left over from a project that we did um from the house. From the house that we did um a long time ago, and we’ll recycle those, and we’ll put those there. So, the plan for this build is that it’s going to be quite a quick build hopefully um and that it’s not going to cost us very much money. We like those kinds of projects at the moment. We really love those kind of projects. Lowcost but high value projects um are really really important right now. So yeah, let’s just um go and do a drawing. We don’t often do that, but I’ve got to order all of the material and get it delivered because we’ve got no way of getting everything we need here any other way. Cool. All righty. Sounds good. Love, I’m excited about this one. Yeah, it should be pretty pretty easy. I’m mostly excited to have a not leaking not garage. truth. How do you know I’m going to be able to build one? Well, you’ve proven yourself in the past. [Music] [Music] Power. [Music] Oh my goodness. [Music] [Music] Why build a lord? I said [Music] [Music] [Music] [Music]

It´s a Things Tank. If that is too posh call it the Crap Reservoir.
Beautiful life with the boys. Good luck with everything you do.
I was just typing 'the not-tank' when Tara said it 🤣 Great job with the Bio pool and the BBQ. It is looking fantastic.
Tara and John
Yes, Fabulous glamping accommodation near the bio pool would be a good feature idea for tranquility, Harmony, nature Happiness a complete relaxing feel to enjoy.
But, because of the snakes near the pool maybe built up with a deck so not on flat ground level.
John great work on your project 12 out of 10 the lawn is looking great, the boys having fun in the water enjoyable to watch,Tara as radiant as ever looks the farm manager with her clip board.😊
A good name for the new storage could be : the shed formerly known as tank” 🙂
The outdoor kitchen place looks good John, the biopool is lovely ! Hope you have a great day Tara, John and the 2 boys as well as Obi☺The Shack is my suggestion for a name for it☺
It was Wonderful seeing Sawyer
loving the heavy rain puddles, with an experienced lover
of puddles, big brother Crusoe.
How about "The Couch Garage"?
John, you have done an outstanding job designing, building and tiling the BBQ, Beautiful, Beautiful John.
The whole of the Newbys homestand area is sooo Magnificent in Beauty. The new family Newbys Portuguise traditional stone house is nearly ready to complete the roof. There is beauty everywhere on the Newbys property. . The large white flowers with yellow centres are so pretty and Beautiful.
John your lawn area, I remember how hard you worked to get all the bamboo gone John now you have several sprinklers implanted and emerald green perfect beautiful grass, so excellent John.
Your house is looking so good. How can you bear to leave it. I understand why you need to move but oh that house needs people. I hope that you can find people to look after it ok.
Great job on the counter top it looks gorgeous with the little tiles incorporated into it. The view is stunning from there.
The tiles look great
How about the couch garage?
I love watching Obie joining in the boy's games 💜
Excellent video, fun and inspiring (as always). Cheers to you!
I personally think a yurt of some sort on the bio pool level would be great. You do already have plenty of space for guests but a yurt could be a pretty easy seasonal letting opportunity if needed in the future
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤thanks
It's so lovely to watch your dreams come true…your outdoor entertainment area is amazing, staircase around Robinsons rock beautiful and your house is truly magnificent. I've always loved your garden and biopool. You guys have transformed that property, well done❤
❤
Hello! That's some beautiful tile work on the outside kitchen. Do you have a 'how to' segment in any of your videos explaining how to work with terracotta tile? ❤
Tara, John and boys, another amazing video, we think an old looking sheperds hut, would be an amazing addition for the Bio pool area, as a glamping idea,
I would definitely go with a ful small 13:17 cottage structure instead of a yurt. I can't wait to see how beautiful it turns out.
Well done, John. Beautiful counter top😊
Call it "Not a she shed" LOL
Call it "Johns Work Shop Shed"… hahaha
Call it "No Tank You Shed"
What an amazing house, views, and moments!! Johns handwork at the outdoor kitchen is outstanding. Love it!
John your outdoor kitchen is beautiful! It is absolutely a piece of art. I love watching the boys puddle jumping and running through the lush green grass. Tara, you sure are brave jumping into the biopool. 🥶 Kudos to you!! Love you guys😊❤
2nd comment of the video
Honestly my admiration for your family and life has no limit
What you have accomplished on your farm in Portugal is just so astounding
And I for one cannot wait until we as your viewers and I would like to think in some sense your friends see what’s in stall for you all in Zimbabwe
❤❤❤
Oooo, I'm excited to see what y'all do with the Not Tank 😂the boys playing in the rain was so precious❤❤❤❤
It has to be the couch shed 😂
Finally it's almost done! Worth the waiting! How beautifully John designed the counter top with the tiles 💞
The trio at the end portion, really making us emotional…
Let them enjoy their life to the fullest at a place which can truly be called Heaven on Earth ❤️
