After travelling all the way from Wales – these die hard Wrexham fans fought through a massive crowd at the Toronto International Film Festival to get the attention of the teams co-owner Ryan Reynolds and what he did shocked them…
Oh my god. Do you have a pen? I don’t. Here at tip with the Rexom FC super fans all the way from Wales. You got it. Oh my god. He saw me holding it. He came back. I’m so happy. Okay, so here’s how all of this went down. You see these soccer hooligans from Wales. We’re a million miles away from Ryan who’s here promoting his new documentary about John Candy called I Like Me. So he shows up at the other end of the theater signing autographs and they are so far away they’re thinking they’ve got no chance. But they had an ace up their sleeve because they were waving a whales flag. That’s the home of Rexom AFC, the soccer team Ryan co-owns. Anyways, the posh hooligans decided to make a run for it. Sprinting the length of a soccer field through this massive crowd all the way around the barricade to the opposite side and it worked. I came with the flag. I was like, “Please sign.” But that’s when they forgot one of the most important things when it actually comes to getting an autograph. Do you have a pen? I don’t. I do. Fortunately, they were able to borrow one. And then he asked, “Isn’t it bad luck to sign a flag?” And I was like, “No, no.” Honestly, such a nice celebrity for an A-lister. So nice. And I got to say, I totally agree. I first met Ryan years ago, and he just has a really special way of connecting with people. Not too bad for a guy who failed uh high school drama. I knew you’d bring that up here.

Never heard that accent from any Welsh person ever. Since when do us Welsh sound American?
Not sure about the others, but she ain't Welsh. Using the flag that way to get a signature is cheap.
