Today I build my new dirt jump mountain bike before heading out for its first ride on my airbag to do some big tricks and give the bike a proper test! Do you like my new bike build?

There are only two of these Haibike dirt jump frames in the world and this is the second one so hopefully it will last! I decided to build this bike up today because after 1 and a half years of riding the old one I thought a fresh one would be a good change! After fitting the new fox suspension forks, halo wheels and other awesome parts back on this new frame I head out for its first ride down at my field where my airbag is and perform some big tricks on the new ride!
Do you like my new mountain bike?

I hope you enjoy the video!

hello everyone today is new bike day and I have a bike stand behind me which is about to be filled by this brand new jump frame look at this this is one of this is the second jump frame there’s only two of these in the world my old one is down there on the floor and it was super scratched I’ve ridden it but way over a year and a half now so I thought it’s time to build up a fresh one and then go and shred it later on today so I’m gonna put that in the stand and then we’ll get into the action the first thing I’m gonna fit to this bike is a brand new set of forks let’s have a big hole in there look they do look good I mean even though you did almost destroy them they’re looking sick yeah I think now I’m gonna spray em green that’s the first thing we’re gonna do then before these even go on I’m gonna grab the stickers off and spray them lime green oh look that is so sick I missed a bit and got it like sort of all on the stanchions but other than that they look incredible so before I put them on the bike and a half to whack in a new headset so let’s get that done first and we can slot them in but oh my god that’s gonna be so awesome it sounds quite like pretty put that on there lovely I’m gonna put the handlebars and everything I need back on and then we can mark the height to cut the forks down then you need one of these I had to just go and rush and get once the other one had broken and a lot of you asked so there you go it’s called a manual pipe cutter you’ll find it at any plumbing shop let’s get that cut hey perfect then of course you need to sand it down time to fit the stand up nice that fits perfectly looking good what we got to do now is just put the brake back on and then I’ll start off with the cranks I’ve got these Sam exo’s whatever they’re called I took the bottom bracket out of the old bike and then that will just go straight in like a dream to do that up as tight as physically possible and then scratch it a bit I kept my old chain ring right I’m gonna put the wheel back on now this is the old front wheel I had but because it’s a little bit dirty less muck off it waterless wash little microfiber epic let’s get it out then I’ve actually got a brand-new rear wheel thank you very much – halo wheels so let’s do a little bit of magic to get the tyre feared right we got the wheel in place I’ve got the tire here look at this new magic method oh you can fire it on like that [Music] when you throw in just trying to surf the streets I’m going back to California man this is crazy whoa sorry man can I have the tire back get your own tire man okay right let’s finally fit this tire Oh got a bounce out over there it’s so ready to go this is the dream let’s get that 5010 spike looks so dreamy I just love new stuff it just fits perfectly pedals on oh man just as I thought we were ready to go I remembered that I need to put some volume spaces in these Forks and I couldn’t find a Spanish I’ve got this weird like multiple fit random spanner that hopefully it’s gonna work because that’s all I’ve got oh my god there’s loads on there already nine ten eleven oh you’re not just tried the fork so it’s actually the funniest thing ever they don’t even work well that is the freshest ride ever let’s get some lovely shots of it before I go to the airbag which is what we’re about to do next so strop a little beet and show this bike in all its beauty [Music] okay that’s enough of the bike we’re now at my field the air bag is blowing up and it’s time to give this bike a little christening by doing some tricks right here right now let’s start things off easy first jump with a flip oh yeah well the bike flips it’s already starting to get a little bit dirty and wet but who cares it’s the christening let’s do 360 now oh yeah it’s time now for what I feel over my lifetime has a slope styler is my signature trick the backflip no-hander Patrick’s the best there’s a huge puddle halfway down the landing on the flat bottom bit it’s just firing everywhere I think we’re going to dive in now with 360 no hander Oh you dreams 360 tailwhip oh yes this bike feels sick cork 720 oh mine that’s so good I made up a new word then on the landing it was a mixture of oh my god and old man I went oh more back flip turn down to no hander heavy slam I could fake it but I did crash so badly I miss my hand on the land well I caught my hand and I was weak and it just fell off and I face-planted here it is clean you the extension wasn’t as big as the first one I feel but I liked it that was good let’s change the angle up a bit now oh yeah your classic standing place is actually covered with so many plants now ain’t it maybe if you go on that ramp there and I’ll do a few tricks from that angle so you can see the crashes if they happen straight in the front Wow that was lovely I actually had time to get that perfect in the air let’s go cool front flip no hander Oh lovely Terry whip two bar spin oh no no I got like twisted in the air oh no no no I have to do it Oh Louie why visualize attack yes thank you visualize an attack I’ve got a story to tell you about bar spins and the reason why I don’t really like them so back at my first European contest in 2007 I was there with one of my friends and he was competing as well and in his qualifying run he messed up in a bar spin missed the handle was went over the bars and didn’t qualify oh I did qualify and went on to get second place ever since then my dad sort of said bar spins aren’t the best idea so it’s been in grown into my brain – not really bar spin so I ever do wit bars first go or 10 goes eh it could go on forever actually it’s annoyed me now backflip tower whip back into the fun ones yeah easy that’s just such a delight that trick it’s fun on the world tour though that’s not even that cool anymore it’s crazy super crazy it’s a sort of time where we hit two hundred and forty frames and do a 360 table one of my favorite tricks I’ve just shut the bag off because that free sixty tabletop felt so good but I don’t think any anything else today is gonna it’s gonna top it I mean that was that just feels like the dream absolutely love it and the turning forty frames you can really see how everything’s like getting squeezed in man this bike is what I’d like to call the dream I know it’s basically and it is exactly the same as my old one but you know I bet the other one was a little bit bent and those old bits and this is just all fresh and it feels just lovely I absolutely love it so I hope you guys enjoyed the video that’d be awesome for leaves and comments and I be sick where you subscribe see ya next one [Music]

  1. No issues with assembly for me https://www.youtube.com/post/UgkxHL1v1R3NE5x4KiYfyt8dnQmyNYz7qi5L but I could see where some might benefit from using an experienced bike assembler/mechanic. I'm an older rider starting back after a 10 year break. This bike exceeds my capabilities and has been easy to get comfortable riding. I'm mostly on easy trails with almost no street riding and have not been disappointed with the performance of the bike. My fitness level is far below what I previously rode with and because of that the mileage is going on the bike slowly. While I'm losing weight slowly, the bike seems to tolerate my 220 pounds just fine. The bike has been used by several family members ranging from 5'5" – 5'9".
