It’s day nine and it’s been raining all morning and we’ve been cycling through the woods all afternoon on our longest day. So, welcome to the daily drone. Today’s drone footage was taken through one of the many stretches of woodland that we cycled along today. This one was just after it finally stopped raining after the first 20 m. Tip of the day. If like me, you don’t speak much French, just always answer we to any question that is posed to you. This always seems to keep the French happy. I tried this tactic today when buying cake. The baker asked me something that I didn’t understand, so I confidently said we and walked off with the cake. Apparently, he looked very beused as he’d actually asked did I want anything else. We couldn’t face any more rich creamy cakes for Gat Desour. So we pitted this bland ginger cake against this bland citrus cake with a bland citrus cake just the winner. By the time we reached the penon, our seaside destination, the weather had done a full 180 and we will spend the rest of the day sitting on the beach. Tomorrow we should make it to Spain for having our our rest day at San Sebastian.
