Why even bother with a front mudguard/fender if you’re going to significantly undersize it?
I like the bike, but why no bags , big miles like that , where do you put all your food and only 1 bottle ?!?

All that excellent cycling infrastructure in The Netherlands and all you could get was a ugly german stock bike in grey, dirty blue…. whatever boring color that is.
And why do you have double chainrings? It’s not as if there are hills to climb in that swamp of a country.
Anyway… I congratulate you because you are enjoying it even after a long time which means you are doing it right.
Do yourself a favor and get a high end steel bike with full metal mudguards…
