I used to cycle to work regularly, but when I moved into a flat a couple of years ago, I suddenly had nowhere to store a full-sized bike.

I joined the local waiting lists for bike-storage hoops, but as time went on I got increasingly frustrated, and increasingly interested in getting a Brompton so I could store a bike easily and get back into regular cycling.

After some research and testing a few models, I ended up choosing the 1975 Edition through the Cycle to Work scheme.

I know it’s not everyone’s cup of tea, and the extra cost over the standard C Line is definitely debatable, but I really like the aesthetic. I’m sure I’ll love it even more once I start personalising it.

I’ve been riding it for a little over a week now, and I have to say: I’m genuinely impressed with how it rides and how much it’s improved my daily routine.

Overall, if you’re like me and don’t have space for a full-sized bike, or even if you do, I’d definitely recommend considering a Brompton. It’s great!

If anyone has tips for new owners, I’d love to hear them!
