Hi, and welcome to another video. So, I’m currently in Slovenia and doing another bike packing trip. So, I thought what I’d do is bring the camera along for the ride and uh and show you guys where we’re going. So, we’re going to go um sort of like through Slovenia, a bit of Italy, a bit of Austria, and a bit of Germany. But today, we are in Ljubana. Um we have just stayed at this hotel here, the Austria Trend, which is very nice, but a bit far out. And we’re just going to Lake Bled, so it’s a short day today. It was supposed to be 30 miles. I’m with George again. He’s here. Um, but it’s going to be I’m just looking at my phone now. 66 miles and about 4 and a half thousand feet of climbing. I’ll put the profile on the screen. Um, it means we are going to do the Sora 5. Yeah. Don’t know what it is, but it it looks interesting. It’s a 5 mile climb, average 8%. So, we’ll do that today and we’ll film on the way. So, yeah, we’re going from Lablan, which is the capital city of Slovenia, to Lake [Music] All right, we’ve made it out of the city and the infrastructure there is pretty insane. It’s just like all bike lanes, all um cars giving way to you. So, we’re pretty impressed. And now we’re just kind of on country roads, which we’re going to be to the climb. [Music] [Music] Right, the inevitable has happened. It started raining. We’ve not seen rain since about January this year since the UK has been so dry. Um, but yeah, we’ve had to stop and get the jacket out of the bag and put it on. So, yeah, we’re going up there into the mountains. It’s looking pretty angry. Hopefully, it’s not as bad as it looks. Yeah, George is putting his jacket on, changing his socks because why not? [Music] All right, the rain has slightly stopped. It’s a little bit lighter, but obviously when you’re moving, it’s never that light. We decided to crack on. There’s like an hour break in the rain coming up. Be nice if we can do the climb during that. George is ahead. My feet are so warm. I’m hoping the last part of the ride can be dry so my shoes can dry off for tomorrow. Otherwise, it’s going to be a night with a haird dryer. Heat. Heat. [Music] [Applause] [Music] Don’t know how well it’s going to pick up the audio for this, but I’m now at the summit. As you might have seen, it started raining pretty uh badly. There’s George. How do you enjoy that? Oh, yeah. Like a shame. Yeah. Not as interesting. Why? Right. We’ve decided we’re going to go down to Lake Bohing, have a really quick coffee, and then get into Bled and try and beat any big storms that are coming. It looks nice. Like over there where we’re going looks nice. I don’t know if we’re just in the clouds, but you can see this. This is a ski resort, so there’s a ski lift over there. It is genuinely really nice and it’s very green, which guess makes sense. It’s very wet. [Music] And we’re going to go to I think that little cafe there that just went. All right, George is just paying for the cafe stop. Didn’t remember to film it because it was too delicious, so I just ate it really quickly, but I’ll put a picture of it up on the screen. It was really nice. So now we’re just going to go to Bled, which is about 20 miles away, which I guess on a road bike would be an hour, but on these loaded gravel bikes, maybe an hour and 15, something like that. Um hopefully we’ll get to Bled and it won’t rain again before we get there cuz we’re pretty dry at the moment. So it’ be nice to be dry when we get there so we can check into the hotel and and not look a mess with the bikes. And then uh we’ll yeah, probably have a a little look around Bled. Be nice. It’s pretty busy here. quite a lot of tourists walking about bike shops and stuff. Um, and the cake we had was properly delicious. Like a layered honey cake all right crack on [Music] We’ve made it to Blade. Yay. Behind us. Angry clouds in the sky, but it’s actually been really warm all the way from the last lake. So, we’ve been proper lucky. Uh, we need to find the hotel and check in. I’d like to do that before it rains. We’re going to do that. Well, we’re going now, aren’t we? So, that we’re checking dry. What? We are very much in the way. The room saw was better. We didn’t do a room tour. No, because yesterday’s room was better. Yeah. Welcome to Bled. Yesterday’s room tour were better, but we’re in Bled. Unfortunately, the bikes are not here. But they’re downstairs in a cellar. It’s not too bad to be honest. Um, luckily I have like efficiently packed, I think. So, I can get away with just taking one bag off the bike. Um, but I think I have forgot my rain jacket, which I might need, so I might have to go back. Um, yeah. So, this is the room. It’s tiny, as you can see. Uh, and yeah, there’s a bathroom. I’ve not even looked at this yet. Oh, there’s a bath. Um, yeah. So, we made it to Glide on time. We’re here for a night. I don’t know what the route looks like tomorrow, but we’ll probably just be awake quite early. Do we have breakfast? Oh, 7:00. It’s early, which is good. 7 for breakfast. Um, so yeah, we’re going to get showers. We got swimming. We got swimming. There’s a swimming pool. We’re going to get showers and then go out to bed. Let’s just do that.
