  1. Thought he was riding on a sidewalk but there is a sign saying this is a bike path that you can see about halfway through the video. Previous statement retracted

  2. Hey , the cycle track in this video is part of the Exeter City cycling network E4. This links a new town to the city to encourage residents to commute by bicycle. The trouble however is, most T junctions are designed with a sweeping curve so vehicles can enter at speed! Therefore, the updated version of the Highway Code has actually made junctions like this more dangerous. Rules H2 and H3 gives priority to pedestrians and cyclists going ahead, whether they are in a cycle lane, cycle track, on the road or a footpath. Vehicles must give way if they are turning into or out of that junction. This rule works perfectly well in other countries around the world. The trouble is that here in the UK, we are not all on the same page, because the government has failed to do any campaigning to highlight the updated Highway Code rules. Motorists could be fined upwards of £2,500 for not adhering to the rules. I didn’t report any of these drivers because I wanted to highlight this rule, and hopefully pedestrians, cyclists don’t get hurt and motorists don’t get prosecuted. Thanks for watching 🙏🏻⚡️🚴🏻‍♂️
