Never been in rogaining myself before, but that did not stop us to visit Riga this time around. 3H on MTB in Riga’s surroundings was nice, and I can say this is not the last time me doing it.

  1. I also started with orienteering this year and love it. First race ever was adventure race, where I picked bike only class, so it was 300km and 28h long event for me. It is not like rogain, but more breadcrum orienteering. Definetly try rogain next year.

  2. What are the rules about following traffic laws in events like this? Are there no rules about that or do they just say be careful or what? Also are you allowed to create a digital route to put on your bike computer to follow or do you have to use the provided map, I feel like following a digital route would be way easier and there would be enough time to make it from when you get the map to the start. I have been thinking of trying out a rogaining/orienteering event for a while now but I always miss when all the best ones happen, if I had known about this one in Riga I would have been there 😀

  3. Hey, just found your channel and subbed – really enjoying your content. I'm mostly a road / TT rider (old retired racer now!), but just bought an old 2019 Santa Cruz Blur to try out this MTB fun. Can I ask what camera you use and how you put the overlay on it? This would just be for my own videos, not YouTube or anything 🙂 thanks!
