Hello, my name is Susan and I’m a 62 year old woman that retired and I sold my house and I’m traveling the world on my bicycle. I hope you will join me for my adventure. Thank you. Good morning. I had a nice night’s sleep and um just now rolling out of my camping spot. It was back over there on that other side of that rock wall. And uh yeah, no no problems at all. Um and I’ve decided today to uh go to Trebenha uh Bosnia and um get a a room there possibly for a couple of nights. And uh the rooms are so cheap. You can get a whole apartment for like €25. So uh yeah, I figure I will take a break there before going into Montenegro where I’ve heard it’s a little more expensive. I don’t know. That’s just YouTube’s opinion. So um anyhow, it’s supposed to be a lovely city with a nice market and I should be there on the weekend. So, I should be able to enjoy the market and um learn a little about about the history of the place and of course edit some videos, get them posted. I’m like way behind. So, I think I have like I don’t know 40 45 miles to make it to Treb Tanha. So, that’s the plan. I’ll check in later, show you the beautiful route along the way. [Music] [Music] [Music] So, um I’m on a Surro cycling route. Apparently, it used to be a train track or train rails. So, it’s like a rails to trails, although it’s a road. There’s not much traffic. And I got on the Sierra route yesterday. Let’s see if I can show you this. Um, so there’s the the whole route. And I came across the Curasian Bosnian border here and hit this and came down. I think I I did the red part there and now I’m there. But today I’m going to take it all the way down to Tbenha. And so it’s been a really nice ride. I’ve seen a lot of these white vans or trucks. So there’s one coming now. He just turned his lights on for me. So, uh, but, uh, there’s a, uh, water canal down there that leads into a reservoir. But, um, man, just just gorgeous. Um, I think the other thing I’ve been noticing, although I’m not seeing them here, is cyclmen flowers in bloom all along the road. Well, until I want to show you. Um, yeah, now there’s not going to be any, but pretty much until this spot, there’s been a lot of cyclmen. You’ll just have to take my word for it. Um, anyway, pretty little pink flowers. I will, uh, so I’m going to ride some more. I’ve gotten in about 15 miles. And I think the one thing about this route is it’s so rural. I’ve yet to go buy a store. And I would I’d really like to get some water and some stuff to drink uh besides water and some stuff to eat. And so uh I don’t know. There’s a little village up there. Maybe they’ll have a store. Uh otherwise it could turn into a really long day. I do have a little bit of food. I’ve got some banana chips and a little bit of muesli. Uh, that’s only only going to go so far if I don’t have anything to drink. So, all right. I’m going to pedal on, try to find something to eat and drink. [Music] [Music] [Music] Heat. Heat. [Music] Well, here is the contrast of Bosnia Herzgavina. We have gorgeous views. There’s some cyclmen. And then there’s a warning that there are mines and another sign up there warning that there are mines left over from the war. So, uh um have to be careful um finding places to wild camp. But last night I was pretty sure I was safe because it was right next to where they had built a road recently. So, I figured they had had all kinds of stuff in there. Um, but yeah, this is this is the first mine warning that I’ve seen. Other than that, it’s been a beautiful ride today. I’m about 25 miles in. I did have an interesting experience where I stopped at a coffee shop and the owner escorted me out and he didn’t speak English so I didn’t understand why. I still don’t know why, but I went on down the road about a half mile and started talking to these two cyclists that were from Ireland and the same thing had happened to her. And uh she thought he was just trying to show her where the store was, but I don’t know. It was it it was weird. It’s the first time I’ve been escorted out. Uh, I mean, literally he had his hand on my elbow escorting me out, but he did point around the place to where the store was, but when I went back there, I couldn’t really see that anything was on the shelves. Uh, the lady from Ireland said they had a very small selection. So, so that was that was an interesting experience. But I did get a really nice meal at the next place. So, and and it like cost nothing. So, uh, so yeah. All right. Well, still heading toward Trebinha, so I should be there midafter afternoon hopefully. [Music] [Music] It’s so windy. [Music] [Music] I made it into Trabenha Bosnia Herzaggavina yesterday afternoon and got this Nice apartment. Let me walk you around. Let’s see. Got a little dining room area there, which I kind of used for a pack explosion and a little kitchen, which has been really nice. I cooked myself some dinner last night. Some pasta with tuna and vegetables. Um, and of course, here’s my lovely steed out here. He’s got his own little room on the porch. Lovely view. There’s a cathedral up there that I think a lot of people go to. Um, and yeah, these apartments are relatively new. When I This one’s called City Luxury, and um it was like 40 uh euros a night. 38 a night. Actually, it was 38. So, pretty good deal. Here’s the bedroom. Got a couple of TVs, closet space with Hey, there I am. Uh, and bathroom. And the bathroom actually has a washing machine, which has been really nice. I was able to get everything clean yesterday. So, um, clean clothes are always nice. Yeah. And um let’s see if I can show you this. This is what the Bosnian mark looks like. Um so kind of interesting. Um I don’t know who the people are. Uh but any I’m looking forward to getting out and exploring the town a little bit. It is supposed to rain tomorrow, so I’m going to take an extra day off, edit some videos hopefully, and if the Wi-Fi will cooperate, and um create my route to get to Istanbul. So, at this point, while I’m in the non-Shingen area, I’m taking my time because when I enter either Bulgaria or Greece, then I go back on the clock. And right now, I think I only have three days. So, I need to take my time getting there so that I can have more days. I think if I enter on October 12th, then I have like um 12 days or or Yeah, 12 or 13 days at that point. So, uh it’s weird how they do it. It’s like it stays 3 three3 on the calendar and then all of a sudden it jumps up to 12. So, I don’t understand except for that it does align with days earlier in the 180day period where I was in the shenen zone. So, I think it just means that those days are dropping off as I use another day. I don’t know. I’m running on. I’ll stop. Um I’ll check in when I leave town. Maybe do you a little ride ride around town so you can see it. All right. If you’re enjoying my videos, please click like and also subscribe so that you do not miss out on any future content.
