More overcast today, cycled via the Geul valley to the Meuse (Maas), turned south or upstream along the Meuse to Maastricht. Had nice lunch along the river front close to the Sint Servaas bridge. Back via Belgium and southern Limburg.

[Music] Plan for today is to go to Mr via the valley of the river K and then upstream along the river mass and then uh through Belgium and south Lindberg to back to Germany. [Music] Quite like it when the cycle pass is almost as wide as the road. [Music] Most good things come to an end. So also this cycle pass. This is near the village of Ra. [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] We are climbing here out of the valley of the river mass in the village of El. [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Music] This is the bridge over the Juliana Canal which is a canal which runs more or less parallel to the river mass. [Music] Typical Dutch landscape. dyke on one side, flat and agricultural. [Music] Missing actually is a few cows [Music] cycling here in an area just north of it with the Zillins fire and the mass to the west and Juliana Canal to the east. It looks like an a nature reserve. [Music] [Music] And you can’t cycle through the Netherlands without seeing a bit of waterworks. This is a lock in the Urana canal with the name of Limol. [Music] The market is in full swing on the market square. And in the background is the uh old town hall. [Music] A staggering amount of bikes does create a bit of a mess. [Music] This is the Sinceras Bridge. It’s the oldest bridge in the uh in the Netherlands. It building started in 1280. However, it has been uh rebuilt after the Second World War. [Music] When the bridge is raised, then it is obvious that motorized vehicles cannot get across. However, the flow of pedestrians and cyclists if they dismount is not interrupted as kind of a ramp is employed on either side of the uh the road. [Music] This part of the bridge was no doubt not part of the original design. Heat. Heat. [Music] [Music] [Music] And now cycling towards the bank water port. This was part of the old city wall and it was built around 1350. [Music] It uh facilitated uh access to the river. [Music] Bit further down the road is the mass print tour which also formed part of the old city wall. They clearly entered the Frenchspeaking part of Belgium. [Music] We are cycling towards the east and this is the valley of the river north. [Music] [Music] This is the valley of the river. Further down river is the town of which has the brewery. [Music] [Music] Hey.
