You know what I hate about thrifting? When you spot this beautiful, funky and colorful sweater and then of course you check the color for the label and there is none and you assume the absolute best, of course. And then you want to check for the material and yeah, no thanks.

  1. Some of ya'll weren't poor growing up and it shows. 😂 When I was little, underwear was a luxury and we were NOT getting new clothes. It blows my mind that we are so ungrateful about everything. The fact that you have an opinion on fashion is a first world problem.

  2. Literally happened to me today but i loved the shirt so much that i just accepted defeat and bought it , at least it wasnt. From the website itself

  3. There's absolutely nothing wrong with buying fast fashion from a thrift store. As long as the price is good and you actually really like the piece, you're stopping it from going to a landfill or being shipped off to another country to pilot their land.

I have Thrifted fashion fashion that has lasted me years because I treat them pretty well and I hand wash anything that can't really survive a washing machine.

  4. Thst hook in her nose is so gross it gags me. Does she have a boyfriend who puts a rope on it snd pull her around? Thsts so gross. It looks like snot hanging out.

  5. The damn things have about 15 wears in them until they fall apart… when you are thrifting you have no idea of the sweater is on wear 2 or wear 14. They are like 10 bucks now at the thrift so I’m not risking a tenner on these items with a small number of lives

that such a wonderful resource for those who are less fortunate has been overrun by people who are doing it as a hobby or for reselling purposes.

  7. i think everyone is fair to feel how they feel about thrifting shein clothes.. i agree its definitely better to thrift them then actually buy them yourself, as you are giving the clothing a 2nd life and continuing to prevent it from ending up in landfill by using the clothing, especially if it gets snatched up by a crafty DIY person-

BUT i agree that its also safe to be careful and fine to not want to thrift shein clothes what-so-ever. a few people make a very good point that shein clothes are notorious for being made of and exposed to all sorts of weird and nasty chemicals, and they are likely to fall apart much quicker compared to other higher quality clothing, certainly cant fault anyone for avoiding them at all costs lol.

  8. Nobody in my family can wear polyester plastic material, it starts to smell and falls apart. The smell is the worst part. Sweaty teens stink enough then to put them in polyvrap
