Hey folks, wanting to pick up a gravel bike to replace my (very) old giant defy 2. My main commute is tarmac / footpath, but do hit gravel occasionally.
One of the main reasons to change / upgrade is because I want to tow a Thule chariot kid bike trailer.
A local bike store pointed me at a Merida Silex (https://99bikes.com.au/products/merida-silex-700-gravel-bike-dark-strawberry-grey-red?variant=40562568134728) suggesting I stick with the aluminium frame due to the whole towing aspect.
A mate just linked me this Giant Revolt (https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/item/793123513607380/) which has started the whole process of, well, which bike I should be looking for.
FWIW I’m in Australia and have a budget of 2-2.5ish
